  1. I believe Terry Austin has kept most of his art.
  2. As someone who lives in Seattle and spends plenty of time walking around downtown (sometimes even at night!), I would highly recommend not getting your news about Seattle from Jonathan Choe.
  3. If only you had inked it that way at the time, it might be worth some real money these days. 🙂
  4. I know. I was really shocked by the result. I thought I must have missed a claws-out Wolverine hanging out in the background or something. It is a really nice page, but the prices are just going through the roof.
  5. Wow! Glad I finally pulled the trigger on a Lee/Williams X-Men page a couple years ago. Looks like I’m pretty much priced out of the market at this point.
  6. Sadly, you can add Darwyn Cooke to 2016.
  7. Just listed this one on eBay. If you're interested please take a look and bid. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184559178916
  8. Sure thing. I had been trying to get a Lee/Williams X-Men page for years since I had started collecting, but I always got out-bid. Finally picked this one up from a collector on CAF.
  9. Oops, I left my original post below, but I was actually talking about the 276 page. That's the issue I picked up a page from. Original post: Great pick-up! I was surprised that the 277 page went quite as high as it did. Although, on the plus side it, made me feel a bit better about how much I paid for a 277 page a little while back. Mike
  10. His art rep (Tom at Fanfare) retired at right around the same time. Not sure if Stuart has hooked up with a new rep since then. Mike
  11. Yeah, this is how I feel. I have a few pieces like this, and the digital pencils don't really bother me at all. In every case though, it's the same artist doing inks over their own digital pencils. I think I'd feel differently if it were someone inking over another artist's digital pencils. Not really sure why though. Mike
  12. I’m not much of an expert unfortunately, but I bought the page at a show, so I was able to take a close look at it, and there were several places where I could still see pencil marks, so I was pretty confident that it was ink over the original pencils. Like you said, I haven’t really heard anything specifically about his Kamandi run, but you can never be too careful. Mike
  13. That's exactly where in ended up in my quest for a Kirby page. It's not a silver age Marvel page, but he was still doing good work on a character he created, and it wasn't going to break the bank. Maybe I'll add another page someday, but for now I'm happy I get to enjoy this one.
  14. This one is a little different than most of the covers in my collection, but I really enjoy it. It’s Juan Jose Ryp’s Cover for Valiant’s Wrath of the Eternal Warrior #7.
  15. As a big fan of the Parker novels, I loved Darwyn’s adaptations. I picked up this page from The Score not long after I started collecting art. There were a handful of pages available on Albert’s site at the time, but if you’re familiar with the story, this page contains an important reveal, so it was a pretty easy choice for me.
  16. Pretty much from the day I started collecting comic art five years ago I’ve wanted to add a Lee/Williams Uncanny X-Men page to my collection. I was always a day late and a dollar short until now. Very happy to pick this one up this week.
  17. Zanadu did close last year (R.I.P.), but I believe the owner, Perry, is still active online. It’s a real long shot that this drawing came through the store, but I guess you could try contacting him at zanadu@zanaducomics.com. Mike
  18. I was after Ryan Bodenheim for close to 3 years to sell me this cover he did for Valiant's 4001 A.D. #1. Took me a while, but I finally wore him down. Mike
  19. Looks more like Golden Axe. Mike
  20. Does that make Enrico Marini the next Frank Miller? Mike
  21. Isn't the opposite true? These days only a handful of titles a month hit six figures. Silver and Gold age books had way higher print runs. Mike
  22. I could have told you that the minute I bought one. Mike
  23. I finally got around to leaving a review. A bit late, I know. What steps do I need to take to make sure I get the bonus episodes when they come out? Mike
