how much money did lucky get away with?

I wanted to bring up my experience with luckycomics since someone else has mentioned him. He offered a lot of key books in NM condition at crazy good prices..and if it's too good to be true..it probably is. I was going to buy about $600 worth of books.. asm 300 nm- $200 rat queens #1 fiona staples variant 3x- 150 dc comics presents #26 nm-120 asm 194 nm- 150 I had some questions and he took forever to reply to my messages. When I inquired about references since he hadn't sold on the board before he said So, I asked for a link to his ebay profile and he sent me this: http://www.ebay.com/usr/havajoe54?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2754 That was the last contact I had with him..I informed him I had sent him a message on eBay and he could please reply to it with his CGC board username. He has read my message here on the boards, but did not reply here or on eBay and I have not heard from him again. Very shady..glad I didn't send him my money.

I do collect what I like..I have copies that I'm keeping that are mine..that's why I noted they were "extra copies"..or doubles that I was looking to unload.

So, does any one think we'll see an increase in price closer to the release of the movie or after? Or do you think it'd be better to try to sell extra copies of the early mirage 1st prints sooner than later?

Awesome books! I thought so too..too bad they were part of the fiasco (see probation discussion) and I had to cancel the sale/ask for a refund.

Well, he said he'd ship them on Wednesday. The deal breaker was finding out he didn't have the books in hand. And I didn't know where they were coming from on the way to him. He hadn't even seen them in person. I asked or a refund because I felt misled and taken advantage of.

And to clarify..He did not have a sale thread up. He contacted me directly about buying these books

It took some messages back and forth this morning..but I do want to let everyone know that he, although reluctantly, did send me a full refund. After making a few offers that I refused..I just simply don't want to do business with someone that conducts themselves like this. I understand it's exciting to make a sale..but FFS have the books in hand.

No, the contrary..everything he said made me think that he had the books in hand. And turns out they were on their way from another user..not directly from the CGC.

I have an issue that for the time being I will keep anonymous..but I would like some outside opinions on. I'm new to the board and I still have a lot to learn. Honestly, I'm pretty new to comic collecting in general. It always interested me, but just recently have I had the time and money to pursue it. What happened to me in a nutshell is..I bought books from a user here on the boards..who offered them to me at a premium before they had even been shipped to him. I purchased 3 books from a user here on the boards for a total sum of $500. He said "give me your address..I'm packing your books now." and even before I sent the payment said "Could you send payment as soon as you can. I kinda need to pay for some purchases" I sent the payment on Sunday. After the fact..he tells me cannot ship them until Wednesday (tomorrow). After a bit of inquiring I find out he doesn't actually have the books yet. All in all, just feels like a shady and dangerous way to conduct business here on the forums.
