  1. A member asked a question. I gave a factual answer. Reasonable people recognize that as contributing.
  2. They're not. Divad just likes to brag when he gets bids on his overgraded books
  3. It looks like the DC books are double-bagged with the autographed comics, based on the certificates. COAs probably don't really count for much in this era of SS CGC books.
  4. The problem with the Chuck Norris books is that you can't get them graded, because they keep on breaking out of the cases
  5. Not sure if this is still the case, but price guides used to have designations of "First Appearance" and "Introduced" for characters, which were essentially interchangeable. Gambit may be the one of the few situations where this is not the case. Because UXM is clearly an introduction, even if it isn't the first *published* appearance of Gambit
  6. Not superhero but I'm hoping something is done with the Mortal Kombat franchise so I can unload this:
  7. At the time I thought John Cleary was going to break out as a comic artist. Although his characters were somewhat caricatures, his art featured a lot of elements popular in comic art at the time.
  8. So, I see that there are some people echoing each other and indicating that Hulk 180 is a hot book suddenly because it's been recognized as Wolverine's first appearance (despite the fact that that was well known information for decades). People in that market should take a look at Uncanny X-Men Annual 14, and not just cuz I have multiple graded 9.8s. Okay, maybe it's just for that reason.
  9. Besides what's already been mentioned, the obvious desirable ones would be from highly collected series, so ASM and X-Men are probably going to be a little more expensive. The Captain America issue features the first Super Patriot (who becomes Captain America and later USAgent), so that's going to be collectible for that reason. New Mutants 45 features a great BWS cover of Magik and contains one of the best single-issue stories of the Copper Age.
  10. This is just silly: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=black+knight+mini+marvel&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&LH_Sold=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=10018-8481&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=1&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&LH_Complete=1&_fosrp=1
  11. I have to finish going through mine, but my best 6 copies (the ones I submitted for grading) are probably all from my OO collection, are all Matte, and were purchased on Long Island.
  12. No, but the actual wedding doesn't need to be expensive. And there's the potential to share a lot of expenses if you're married
  13. Getting married doesn't have to be expensive.
  14. One of the issues I have found with Collectorz is that the "checklist" is incomplete. Ideally I'd like to not have to do additional research to find out if there are other variants that they're not aware of
  15. We've moved on from that. Now we're discussing pie
  16. Venom is more the combination of that symbiote bonded with a human host. Which is why ASM 252 is not the first Venom
