  1. P.S. I hope Heritage will have a special section dedicated to Ethan's collection...it certainly deserves it. I wonder if his entire collection is all going in this auction or if it will be spread out...I guess we'll find out. Comic art collectors are going to be treated to hundreds of nice pages...
  2. I'm still saddened by Ethan's passing...I managed to do some trades with him years ago. He started collecting comic art back in the early 1960s as a teenager. His main collecting focus was superhero art and particularly Golden Age superhero art...his art collection spanned the 1930s (e.g Flash Gordon) to the 90s. I don't remember him ever selling art, but he did do trades from time to time. The Wrightson Swamp Thing 6 cover was a gift from his wife years ago and the 1935 Flash Gordon Raymond Sunday he basically gave up his entire comic collection for back in the day...both pieces were framed and hanging at his home. He mentioned that when he passed his entire collection would go to his son, but I guess it was time. Ethan was a straight shooter...honest and fair. He will be missed...Rest In Peace Ethan.
  3. Paul is an honest and great seller...would buy from again!!!
  4. Hi Ron, I bought that Stars Fell on Arizona Baker art from the comic art dealer Black Line Fever about 15 years ago...it was incomplete at the time missing one page. I tried to find the missing page to complete the story. I then sold it to Ferd Bernjak at a San Diego Con several years later...did you somehow find the missing page to complete the story? Regards, LD
  5. John Butler is a great guy...good ole' Don Lineberger. He was a bluegrass banjo playing master. Used to exchange letters with him and he'd do all these crazy drawings on the outside of the envelop...he'd include polaroid photos of his art and his banjos. Talking with him on the phone was quite an experience...another good guy with a good soul...I miss him. Rest in Peace Don and thanks for the Wrightson, Evans, and Frazetta art...
  6. On the Super Magician vol. 2 #3...you should post an image of that comic upside down so people can see the "chimp" on the card...that's what makes this such a cool comic!!!
  7. What a GREAT Taliaferro! Feel free to share more original comic art if you can...this thread just keeps getting BETTER!
  8. If you ever do decide to post your original art here on the boards...if it's like what you've shown so far, I'm sure it'll be EQUALLY incredible!
  9. Hi RM, This thread and your postings of your collection have been incredible and amazing! Did you ever have any interest in collecting original comic art? You've been doing this so long that I'm sure you've had chances over the years...especially when it was much more affordable... If you never had interest, why not? Regards, LD
