CGC will reholder the Superman #1 for $50 and not which version it is.
D'oh! Right you are.

As time goes by, I would expect the market to assume that unless a note says its an "On Sale June 2" version than it is not. So if you don't know, you lose nothing by finding out.
Well, you lose thousands of dollars in reholdering fees. And I don't think assuming is necessary. If the notes don't mention which version of the ad is present, then that copy was certified prior to CGC beginning to note it, and therefore it's printing status is undetermined.

I can't imagine anyone having their Supes #1 reholdered. Why pay thousands of dollars to risk finding out (and announcing to the world in the notes) that you don't have a 1st printing? Unless you owned the book raw and know that it is.

Saw this amazing Silver Surfer statue for sale on eBay from a seller in NV but now it is gone. Does anyone know where to possibly get this piece?
Yes, that's from Sideshow: https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/marvel-the-silver-surfer-maquette-sideshow-collectibles-400358?var=400358

I'd definitely trust your judgment over mine on all things "statue", and I will be curious to see what the final total is. Far more popular characters like Scarlet Witch, Rogue (I guess she's a Comiquette, not a PF), Storm, etc were what? 3k-4k edition size? And they have sat around for a while (not a critique of the piece themselves, mind you. I have the Scarlet Witch and the Rogue, and love them both.).
Dazzler is much more niche character, and there isn't even a definitive look for the character that the fanbase can agree on (for instance, the blue body suit will always be MY Dazzler.) So, I'm really curious to see which way they go with her, edition wise It's one of those that could sell out super fast, or could linger for years and go on clearance, and neither result would surprise me!
3K-4K edition sizes don't happen very often anymore. Too many options for collectors these days, but they only have so much $$. I doubt Sideshow wants a quick sell-out of anything. I think they would consider that a misstep on the edition size, and that they left money on the table. Even when you see them discount a piece 10-20%, they're still making money on it. I'm betting 1K or so for the Dazzler edition size.

I don't think the edition size will be all that small. Response to the piece has been overwhelmingly positive.

You may have done better offering your books here on the boards.

To give you a comparable sale, the other Action Comics #50 CGC 9.0 sold last week at auction for the same amount, $12,000. Both books are solo copies at 9.0, and both have 2 copies that grade higher.

I don't have 20K to spare, but that's a fair price for a very cool book.
