Walt Zelten Jr. was born in Akron, OH on February. 5, 1930 to Bessie and Walt Zelten Sr. and passed away on May 26, 1997. Along with his family at age 12, he moved to the Tacoma area in the summer of 1942. He completed his elementary education in Akron, and attended Gault Jr. High and Lincoln High School here in Tacoma. After school, he was stationed in Korea with the Army during that war. He was a lifetime member with the Ray C. Roberts VFW Post #969. He is survived by his sister, Irene Aylett; his nephews, Mike and Dave, of the home, Tony (Julie) and their children, Ashley and A.J., all of Tacoma. Visitation will be held on Wed., May 28, 1997, from 1-5 p.m. at Tacoma Funeral Home. Funeral service on Thurs., May 29, 1997 at 10 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel located on the grounds of New Tacoma Cemetery. Just in from the Heritage auction.

I was contacted by the new owner of the book. He was aware of it's prior grade of 9.2, and is very happy to be adding it to his collection.

Thanks, guys. I've had both of these for years, but it's time to pass them on to someone else to enjoy.

I haven't kept up on all this. I need to educate myself.

These are procedures that if caught by CGC, would result in a purple label, correct?

That's really disappointing to hear.

I'm less interested in the who than the how. I've always been under the impression that eliminating a dust shadow required a wet cleaning. If that's the case, how did CGC miss it? Or is there a new method I haven't heard about?

I suspect the color variation is just scanner settings.
