  2. I'm hoping the fine people of CGC can give me some insight.

I'd like to know all options available to me, for encapsulating & authenticating these 2 pieces.

Iron Man newspaper from the ending of Iron Man 1:

I've been told, this was made/reproduced from the actual negatives Marvel used for the prop in the movie. The paper looks and feels just like a real newspaper.  The back is blank. It was signed by Stan on July 2nd, 2012 in Melbourne, Australia.

    Time Magazine:

Pretty much the same scenario as the paper.  It was made/reproduced from the negatives Marvel used for the Iron Man 2 movie. Has a thicker magazine style cardstock cover.  The inside are the guts of a real Time magazine, Volume 176, NO. 20, 2010. It was also signed by Stan on July 2nd, 2012 in Melbourne Australia.

I know the signatures aren't witnessed and can't receive the yellow label.  I would just like to know what options are available, if/how they can be authenticated and slabbed and what the labeling would say.

    Thanks so much!

    Chris

  3. Looking for some help....I have 4 books that I don't know if they need to be added to sets or sets created for them.

If they can't be added....how can a user accumulate Registry points for books that don't have sets(or can't be put into competitive sets)?

    Thanks so much! (thumbsu

    Hello @CBass,

I created a slot in Captain America (Complete) for the first book. Unfortunately, the other 3 do not have a home at this time. All four books are part of smaller, one-off sets which are not eligible for their own sets or the artist sets have not been requested yet. The Iron Man books may be best in a custom set. Thank you

Can we please create slots for the Canadian Price Variants for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures series(1988 Mini Series & 1989 Ongoing Series)

Set: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures
Book(s): There are ALOT of Canadian Price Variants for these 2 series.

    1988 Series: #1-#3
1989 Series: #1-#72 (I'm not sure if CGC has graded a CPV for every number, or if there is a way to tell, but can you at least add #23 CPV as I just got 1 back. Cert# 2109758003)

    Slots above created.

Also, can we add these TMNT themed novelty books?

Set: TMNT - One Shots & Mini Series

    Books:

Amazing Heroes #45 (1984) Fantagraphics Books.  This book is coveted by TMNT collectors because it has 1 of the first ads for the TMNT #1 issue. (I just received a copy back, Cert# 2535198001)

Comics Journal #89 (1984) Fantagraphics Books. Very similar to the book above, as it contains 1 of the earliest ads for the TMNT #1 issue.  (I have to copies currently at CCS)

Independent Comic Book Sampler #2 (1988) Geoff Miller. Another sought after book by TMNT collectors because it has a classic Eastman cover.  (I just received a copy back, Cert# 2535198003)

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, these are only advertisements for another book and are not technically appearances in the story line. These are not eligible for the competitive registry but you can add them to your custom sets.

    @Matt G

    Hey Matt,

No worries on the ad books...totally understand.

But regarding the Canadian Price Variants, I was under the impression they should/would have their own slots? Meaning I could have the regular version registered as well as the variant version.

    Hello @CBass,

This is not a "complete with variants" set so I followed the previous structure in place which is to add the books to the existing slots.

    My KUDOS for your convenience

    Onto the piece!

This cover came from an original owner.

I am no grading expert, nor a restoration expert.  That being said, I took a LED black-light to the pages, and nothing seemed to illuminate/glow.

I'm here to answer any questions or concerns.

Please PM me with any offers.

First unconditional  :takeit: wins, based on timestamp.
