  5. Very excited to announce a late addition. Hot off the heels of DETECTIVE COMICS #1000, in which she has one of THE best stories in the book, and she's the first female artist to illustrate Batman in DETECTIVE. You know her work from PUNISHER, MOON KNIGHT, SOUTHERN CROSS, SHADE THE CHANGING GIRL, GOTHAM ACADEMY and more. This is her very first convention appearance in Dallas, help us welcome the wonderfully talented Becky Cloonan to the guest list! Becky will be doing two signing sessions on Saturday, April 6th - she is only at the show Saturday and not Sunday. The signing times will be 11am - 1pm, and 2:30pm to 4pm. This is a great chance to get those DETECTIVE COMICS #1000 books signed by one of the more elusive names involved. Don't miss this opportunity. More on Becky here - http://www.dallascomicshow.com/beckycloonan/
  6. This is pretty cool. Today is of course "New Comic Book Day", and yes, everyone is likely going to be pretty focused on DETECTIVE COMICS #1000, but there's a few other books hitting the shelf worthy of note. BONE PARISH #8 written by Cullen Bunn (who will be at Dallas Comic Show), PUNCHLINE #5 by Bill Williams and Matthew Weldon (who will both be at Dallas Comic Show), and the one I'm most excited about, DC Comics' reboot of the classic DIAL H FOR HERO #1 featuring cover and interior art by Dallas Comic Show guest Joe Quinones, who is making his Texas debut with us! You could get all three of these books signed at the show April 6-7. Neat! Guest list here - http://dallascomicshow.com/april2019guests Purchase advance tickets - http://dallascomicshow.com/april2019tickets
  7. Just added! His book THE DEVILS #1 is sold out pretty much everywhere, and already selling for $15 to $20 on the secondary market. We welcome writer Matthew Spradlin to our comic creator lineup. One of our vendors, BTC, will have an exclusive variant cover to DEVILS #1 at the show, limited to 300 copies, so this is a rare chance to get one of the variants and have it signed by Matthew right then and there. 8. I realize I'm a little biased, but as a comic fan who became obsessed with the industry in the 90s, this is really cool to me. Having these three dudes all in one place in this anniversary year for THE CROW, DAWN and THE NOCTURNALS... I just love it. After losing Stan last year, I think more and more it's important to celebrate these creators for their contributions to the industry and pop culture in general, so I genuinely hope people make an effort to join us at the show in three weeks, it's going to be a fun weekend. 9. JUST ADDED! This year is the 30th Anniversary of one of the most iconic characters ever to grace the pages of a comic book. We're honored to once again host the great James O'Barr, creator and artist of THE CROW, and you can meet him at our Dallas Comic Show: Spring Celebration - April 6-7 in Richardson. There are two anniversaries to note, the 30th Anniversary of the comic, and the 25th Anniversary of the movie. If you've never met James before (or even if you have), please make sure to stop by his table and congratulate him on his incredible legacy. He joins our guest list which features dozens of comic book creators, cool celebs, cosplayers, and role playing games. 12. This is pretty cool. Today is "New Comic Book Day", and one of the books hitting shelves this week is THE WALKING DEAD #185. As a special bonus, this issue is a flip book (first time ever TWD has done this), and the other side features the first issue of OUTPOST ZERO written by one of our guests, Sean McKeever. This also coincides with the release of his Image Comics series OUTPOST ZERO in trade paperback today, November 7th. 21. Just a quick note about Dallas Comic Show, now two weeks away. We announced on Wednesday that starting August 30th, we'll be donating a portion of advance ticket sales to The Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey victims, and we're putting together some auction items and a raffle to happen during the show to raise more money. Dallas isn't too far from Houston to lend a hand! We're donating $5 from every VIP pass, $2 from every Two-Day, and $1 from every Sunday Only pass. More info on the other events coming soon. Hopefully it will help some of those folks desperately in need of assistance.
  22. Hey gang, usually someone beats me to posting here, but I noticed there's no thread so far about DALLAS COMIC SHOW this September 16-17. We're back at the Richardson Civic Center. 24. Thanks man, we're loving the list, really hope folks show up to support it. As for ticketing early pick up, you know, in the past when we've done that, not a lot show up to grab them. I think we'll just do ticket pick up day of. We've got a pretty streamlined process for it, so it should go fast. However, If we decide to do an early pick up I'll definitely let you know.
