  1. Obligatory bump: various Sensation Comics, all with WP.
  2. One of the many sites that will show the actual BIN price on an item with a OBO option. The following site will show the same as well as the dollar amount of any previous offers: https://www.flippertools.com/tools/ebayOfferHistory/ebay-best-offer-actual-price.htm?
  3. According to watchcount, the 38 sold for $1500--which is not bad given what the photos showed.
  4. I saw those prices and just could not compute. I chalked it up to the seller's rep and previous history of selling well-graded GA on ebay.
  5. @comicwiz The CEO is Todd DeMartino. The guy took pre-orders for a book he was writing--in 2006--and probably still hasn't finished it/ refunded several people their money. He has the time to start a sub-par grading company, but not the time to finish his already-funded book?
  6. @skypinkblu posted these in the Less than 10 GA thread, so I'll post my copies.
  7. Finally had a chance to photograph something: Sensation Comics 26-31.
  8. Just bought 5 different items, all in my cart, and the code works.
  9. I've had a few (and seen MOTU figures exhibit the same problems). The rubber band either rots and then falls apart or it partially rots and then the crotch+legs tangle (very loosely) while still sealed. It's not a pretty sight.Storm Shadow is also susceptible to yellowing. The rubber band rotting is less noticeable in vehicle+figure sets (Zartan, Hiss Tank, Water Moccasin, HAL, etc.) because the bubble fits the figure tightly.
  10. Speaking of HA... https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/sensation-comics-38-dc-1945-cgc-nm-94-white-pages/p/7187-159002.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  11. Thankfully, I already have a 31 (7.0), so I didn't need to buy that. Lol.
  12. I was going to put a stronger bid on this but then I, too, would be subject to the CA sales tax (on top of the $20~ shipping and "handling" fee). Ugh. This issue and #94 need to appear more often.
  13. My feeling is that AFA came around late enough (post 2000-SLU) that an effort should have been made. Most certainly by 2003 at the very least. Also, there is one (1) AFA 85 (subs 85 or better) offerless Scarlett 9-back. It's worth more than its weight in gold. Its label also doesn't specify it as being offerless, so AFA's registry still shows zero (0) offerless Scarlett 9-backs. ***I should also add: a proper classification system should have started earlier than later--especially since AFA was grading GI JOE in bulk (by 2003 at least). AFA had all sorts of examples to use for a better database system (even if the information wasn't generally available or accessible to most collectors/ toy forums).
  14. Rebelscum is probably your best option for discussion on price movements for SW 12 backs (AFA 85+)--especially since 2012/ the Disney acquisition of SW. You have to be a member to use the site's search function, but you can also find the info through a refined google search. I did a quick google search for "rebelscum price of 12 backs afa 85" and found some useful threads (along with several old FS threads), which should give you an idea of where the prices were.
  15. There isn't a GPA for AFA stuff simply because AFA has a long history of poor database house keeping. AFA's registry is incredibly hard to navigate (and this is 10 years after its launch) and AFA's record keeping was really shoddy for the first 3-4 years (e.g., GI JOE 9-/21-/32-/34-backs, Cobra Commander Offers, and possibly Explosion Backs were never noted on the label--and probably database). The best way to gauge price movements over a period of years is to do an extensive search on the various toy forums (where such discussion will probably exist), over a long-enough period of time, and then go from there. You probably don't need to do this for a common ROTJ AFA Y-80 figure, but if you're in the market for an AFA 85 SW 12-back or a GI JOE offerless 9-back Scarlett, then it's probably a good idea.
  16. The last arc was SLOW. It could have been condensed into 3 issues instead of 6 issues.
  17. Ongoing or Mini-Series Saga Mister Miracle (for the remainder of its 12-issue run) Deadly Class (this is one of the few Remender titles that gets progressively better as it continues) Monstress (in a 'Princess Mononoke' kind of way) Graphic Novels Beautiful Darkness and Satania by Kerascoet (French). These water-color graphic novels are absolutely gorgeous and absolutely fabulous. (Beautiful Darkness is the better of the two.)
  18. That seemed like a high price given the grade/ description...
  19. Christmas Eve bump. Five issues short of finishing the Sensation All-Girl/ Romance run (two are not pictured). Waiting for these to pop up (along with the small box SEN issues, 72-93) is a PITA.
