    Pedigree

I recently saw a CGC slabbed book with the Diamond Run pedigree. It was one of the oldest cases. I have never heard of this pedigree before, any information? thank you richard
  4. I asked CGC a question and this is what I got. A green circle with a white triangle and a green exclamation point in the middle. Not sure what that means.
  5. Just curious, why are all my pedigree labels gold except for my Murphy Anderson file copy? Is the gold an update?

    CGC scans

I’m glad that CGC now scans all the books that they grade. I have always tried to include pictures of my books as I add them, but my scanner is just a bit short, so you never get the entire cover. I hope others use this feature too. I enjoy looking at other members sets, but so many don’t have photos and I really want to see the great artwork on the books they have collected. I downloaded my first few pics last week!
  7. I think we are finally straight! Thanks
  8. Matt, I sent you an email. This, by now, should be a well documented problem as I have spoken to four different agents and believe we even exchanged an email.
  9. I don’t think you understand. I sent in one group of 20 books (1 submission). A week later, a second duplicate submission appeared for which I was charged also. Even though I only had sent in one group of 20 books, I was now being charged for 40 books. None were high value, certainly none worth more than the $400 cap.
  10. Hi, how have you been? I am an elite member. Nothing got bumped up and I already got them back. Just a straight up double charge for a submission. Really amazing part is that I sent them in February 14, and had them back by March 31. The turnaround time when I sent them was like 160 days.
  11. Sorry, I don’t know what this means
  12. I sent a group of 20 books in for grading in February, marked as received on the 14th. On the 21st I was charged $683 for a submission that appeared to be, at least in part, a duplicate of my submission. After 3 calls to customer service with no refund, I finally called my credit card company and disputed the charge. A temporary refund was issued. After almost a month a refund was issued by CGC and the credit card company removed its temporary refund. Almost immediately, CGC charged me the $683 again and the bogus submission still is shown among my submissions. Now six weeks later and another call to customer service and I am still on the hook for $683. I can’t understand why this is taking so long to sort out. Every customer service rep I have spoken with has understood the problem and forwarded reports etc. yet the problem is still there. It’s been several days since my last contact with CGC and still no change. Anyone have a suggestion?
  13. I remember as a kid in the early 60’s reading all the old war comics. I read Superman, Batman and all the rest but somehow the war comics stuck. Joe Kubert quickly became a favorite with Sgt. Rocks tattered clothing along with the Haunted tank’s crew. Originally I asked Matt to create a Joe Kubert cover set but was told that I would have to supply the issue numbers and certification numbers as well. I had hoped to include the hundreds of covers that I don’t have plus I really have no idea how many there actually are. If it was only to be made up from what I already have, I just compiled all my Kubert covers into a custom set. Seemed like a bad idea to have to make an addition request for every new cover I bought. So if there are any Kubert fans out there, check out in custom sets> cover artists> Rich’s Joe Kubert cover set.
  14. Hi Matt, I know this is a tall ask, but I would really like to see a Joe Kubert cover set. Thanks for all that you do Rich Hello @richard8158, When requesting an artist cover set we ask that you provide the specific titles to be included. Certification numbers for each book are much appreciated as any variations in text/spelling can make it harder to find. Since this is a brand new request please edit this post with the titles. Thank you
  15. Hi, Could you please add a separate entry for Guardians of the galaxy (1990) #25 variant collectors edition? Regular edition 2098557025 and the variant collectors edition 1210514010. It’s the only variant in the set! thanks Rich Created a separate slot on 11/6/20. Thank you
  16. Hi, Could you please add the sets Hawkman (2018) 2054870009, 20+ issues ongoing and Shadow War of Hawkman (1985) 2095182009, 2095182010 4 issues? Also not sure if anyone mentioned it, but there are a group of sets in the “S” section that are not alphabetical! Thanks Rich Sets created. Thank you
  17. I was holding on to these hoping to find better copies, but haven’t had any luck in the last couple of years. So I submitted them in early March and was pleased to have gotten them back in mid April. The grades are what I expected and will just grab upgrades as I come across them. These have gotten hard to find in anything other than 2.0 or 3.0.
  18. Hey, I got your message. Please go to your account, and then to email settings. Click on the tab that enables you to receive messages. Welcome to CGC
  19. Yes it was. Pooch was brown in his first two appearances on the cover (#s 59 and 62). He was white starting with issue 63, then issues 64, 67, and 71. He turned brown again for issue 72 for the last time and was white for the next 10 covers. Last time we saw pooch on the cover was #92. thanks Rich
  20. This one just came by UPS today. At this moment it is the single highest graded copy and the next closest grade is a 7.5. I bought it from eBay and I even thought the price was good. I have spent so much time on my GI Combat set, the Our Fighting Forces set (among others) has been neglected. September - October 1961, I'm happy to be able to add this one!
