  1. Why is it that "variant" has to get attached to everything? I didn't see a single variant in the images. Surely you are not implying that all of the foreign language book were printed at the same printer as a part of the same print run? If you are not they are not variants. I know "edition" isn't cool or anything like that and it doesn't bring dollar signs to the the eyes, but that is what these books really are they are foreign language editions of American books. Can we please get rules for what is and isn't a variant ... or better yet just admit that every damn book is a variant? Or are you going to tell me now that all books are identical. Other than that it was a neat article.

  4. Just got my stuff from OldGuy. Perfect transaction. Books were VERY well packed and in awesome shape. Shipping was prompt. Looking forward to doing business with him again. Thanks Brian!
  5. 10 pages on this subject? This is so who cares to me. If people want to charge those prices then so be it. CL is not the only place with overpriced slabs. As for GPA and it being the final word. Like one of the early people said it is a guide a guide that goes from a fairly limited set of sources so who is to say how "accurate" it is. In the end it is not the final word on prices and people pay under and over it all the time. What is interesting to me is that if you pay GPA or more you are still paying a premium so complaining about it seems fairly moot. You are losing money either way.
