  1. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah! BLAH! If you're going to leave, then leave, don't write novels about it. No one cares.
  2. I also leave feedback when the book ships. I tell my buyers that when I leave feedback that means the product has shipped. I would like to get positive feedback from them, but if I don't I will survive.
  3. She-Hulk. Get Catherine Zeta-Jones as Jen. (After she has her baby in March, 'cause a pregnant She-Hulk might be a bit too much).
  4. I remember reading about a sale of Action #1 in the mid seventies for around $10,000. At least that's what I think I remember.
  5. The first book I ever slabbed was my Superboy #1 (7.5, which was acceptable to me). The first BRONZE book I ever slabbed was a pair of Savage She-Hulk #1s (9.4 and 9.6). I'm not sure if it was a modern or a bronze. I listed one of them on eBay as a bronze, but I could be wrong about the classification.
  6. Since they don't return them to you with your grading, what do they do with them? They must have piles of them.
  7. Well, we'll see if I get lucky with CGC on this one. Otherwise I may just stick it in the closet until the next Spiderman movie comes out. Thanks for the input!
  8. I couldn't begin to guess on this book. The $1950 probably wasn't worth it, I would think it would have to slab 9.4 or better. Wouldn't you say? The one they had for $1300 MIGHT have been worth it, but I didn't bring that kind of scratch and didn't want it on the credit card. I did buy a bunch of ASMs from them at what I considered reasonable prices, I'm going to CGC them and see what they come back as. I have bought from them on the internet and have been about 66% satisfied with their grading. I returned a Superboy that I thought was overgraded. They don't put grades on their books at the cons, just prices. I bought an ASM 300 and I'm going to slab it. I paid $45 for it, if I can slab it for $12 plus shipping, what do you think it has to grade at to make anything? It looked really nice to me, at least a 9.2. But then I'm the guy who got that ASM 175 back with CGC 6.0, after I thought it "looked nice". I did get Adam Hughes to sign my "Buffy: Once More With Feeling" CD and poster! I've got some moderns to send out this weekend and so hopefully by New Years they will be back!
  9. At our local con, Graham Crackers had three unslabbed copies of this book, ranging from $900 to $1900. I didn't see a single copy anywhere at this con under $900.
  10. Maybe testomanlives! could bid on his auctions. That would make for a fun bunch of feedback.
  11. I keep saying that they should get Catherine Zeta-Jones to play She-Hulk!
  12. Well, this part "If you choose, at your expense" seems quite unambiguous. Is that what someone is griping about? Because it sure seems obvious to me that the purchaser is paying for the grading and won't get it refunded.
  13. I once emailed them about some Superboys on their website, I asked for scans. He sent me back the scans but said they don't usually email scan for books under $500, he was doing me a big favor. I didn't like his grading on them, I thought they were way overgraded. But it could be that I'm extremely tough. I look at some of the things that get CGC 9.0 and can't believe it! All those spine stresses or chips out of the edges! ACK!
