  1. An interesting looking Jim Lee variant for the newly solicited Batman 146 (Release Date 4/2/24) ....
  2. @mostmonsters The award certificates you speak of, they no longer sent out starting in 2023. https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/11929/2023-cgc-comic-registry-awards/
  3. He did and I thought that was what was going to happen. In truth, I don't think I would be happy by bringing in a multiverse Alfred. The one thing I did get a kick out of in that storyline was alternate universe Alfred was married to Leslie Thompkins. A nice tip of the hat to a legacy Batman character.
  4. I'm definitely on board with what you wrote in your review. At the same time, I'm a bit conflicted. When it comes to Zur and Failsafe, I feel like they've worn out their welcome and and Zdarsky is on the verge of beating a dead horse. Time to move on. Let's first get the Batman Family back together. And I think Batman cannot do it alone. Which leaves me with the one person who possibly could. It's wishful thinking on my part, but if Zdarsky were to surprise us with the return of Alfred, that would be magnificent.
  5. My two MFT submissions still have not shipped (please see attached screen cap). Yesterday afternoon I contacted Customer Service when it appeared my submissions were not going to ship (1/2). I was told that if they didn't go out later in the day, then they would be shipped today, (1/3). Well, we're well into today and the status on both is still G/QC. It was also explained to me the Shipping Manager has been made aware of these two submissions. And still we sit.
  6. I very much enjoyed reading Doc's exploits when they were reprinted by Bantam. Little did I know at the time that they were reprinting the pulp stories out of order. Still, I looked forward to each and every new paperback when they were released.

  8. Hi, I have two Fast Track Modern submissions (from 11/22) which have been sitting in G/QC since last Wednesday (12/20). Touched base with Customer Service to try and find out why they haven't shipped yet. I was told they will most likely ship on Tuesday, 1/2. No one plays a game of "Keep Away" better than CGC.
  9. I've spoken with Rachel several times. She is one of the best CSA's CGC has!
  10. We must have just spoken to the same rep. Encapsulation is tying everything up.
  11. Customer Service (or one CSA in particular) drives me nuts. Sent in a two book MFT with Pressing. As of today, the books are in Day 20 of what is supposed to be an estimated 17 TAT. So I called customer service and told them I wanted them to refund my Fast Track fee's because the books have been sitting in G/E/I for three days now. Again for two books! The CSA told me that while it was Day 20, the books were not eligible for a Fast Track fee refund. I went nuclear. This particular CSA always gives me a hard time while other CSA's are much more than cooperative. If only I could name names but then this post would probably be deleted. In any event, she put me on an extended hold and finally came back and told me they would refund the fees. I am still super ticked because it was like pulling teeth. Why does everything always have to be a fight?
  12. If it's 29 business days you're talking about, I would call Customer Service and have them refund your Fast Track fees.
  13. Hi Mike, I think this note from 2020 needs updating. MattM CS told me with respect to service@cgccomics.com, that e-mail addy is now defunct. Anyone who used to send e-mail's to that address should instead use submissions@cgccomics.com. I don't know if the NGC or PMG service addresses are still functional. Thanks! @Hillen0075
  14. Looks like for now. I'm just glad Joker Year One will be handled within the Batman title itself and not some off shoot mini-series.
  15. Plans for Batman 142 through 148! https://bleedingcool.com/comics/chip-zdarsky-writes-joker-year-one-very-killing-joke-isnt-it/
  16. I know! The inhouse move (which they didn't have to tell us about and sure enough, they didn't) then CGC has the gall to post that "Check Out Our Turnaround Times" on the main page. In addition, I spoke to one Customer Service person who tried to tell me that last Friday, 11/10, could not be counted as a Business Day because it was Veteran's Day. WHAT?!? Then why was I exchanging PM's with Customer Service on that very day if the offices were closed? Furthermore, my bank was open on Friday. So was the Postal Service.
  17. This inhouse move would explain why two of my submissions have gone past their estimated TAT's. I wish Customer Service would have been more forthcoming about this information when called and asked why it just seemed CGC was dragging their heels with my submissions.
  18. Agreed. I'm fortunate enough to have the local hub manager's ear if there's a problem. If there's a delay or misstep along the delivery path, he'll find it and get it corrected.
  19. I did and I kind of enjoyed it. The reason I say 'kind of' because like you, it felt rushed to me as well.
  20. I sincerely hope the person in receiving responsible for GZ's nightmare, was promptly escorted off CGC premises by security and turned over to the authorities. In turn, have a warrant issued to search the receiver's home to see if they might come upon other 'missing books' (like mine that I mentioned in an earlier post). Who knows what they might discover.
