Mark, I don't follow registry related stuff but I noticed that there is a new registry related addition to our profile pages - see below:

    Capture.PNG.f9cf0ac825d43650f8455382ce05f500.PNG

You can access it on the left hand page (desktop) by selecting the 'See My Activity' button.

It may have been noted already, but I thought you were the man to tell if not, as you'll likely understand it's significance / potential use :)

Hmmm, when I click on 'See My Activity' I don't see the CGC COMICS REGISTRY NEW SET & SLOT REQUESTS section at all.

Also, Zdarsky had the perfect out for bringing Alfred back when Batman was in the alternate universe where Alfred was still alive.

He did and I thought that was what was going to happen.  In truth, I don't think I would be happy by bringing in a multiverse Alfred.  The one thing I did get a kick out of in that storyline was alternate universe Alfred was married to Leslie Thompkins.  A nice tip of the hat to a legacy Batman character.

Wow, this was an amazing issue. Seeing Batman fight Zur in Failsafe's body was awesome. The art was fantastic, the writing was fantastic. Seriously, what a great issue.

I like that Joker Year 1 is going to tie in with this storyline. It should be pretty interesting!

I'm definitely on board with what you wrote in your review.  At the same time, I'm a bit conflicted.  When it comes to Zur and Failsafe, I feel like they've worn out their welcome and and Zdarsky is on the verge of beating a dead horse.  Time to move on.  Let's first get the Batman Family back together.  And I think Batman cannot do it alone.  Which leaves me with the one person who possibly could.  It's wishful thinking on my part, but if Zdarsky were to surprise us with the return of Alfred, that would be magnificent.  :)

My two MFT submissions still have not shipped (please see attached screen cap).

Yesterday afternoon I contacted Customer Service when it appeared my submissions were not going to ship (1/2).  I was told that if they didn't go out later in the day, then they would be shipped today, (1/3).  Well, we're well into today and the status on both is still G/QC.  It was also explained to me the Shipping Manager has been made aware of these two submissions.  And still we sit.  :taptaptap:

    Hi,

I have two Fast Track Modern submissions (from 11/22) which have been sitting in G/QC since last Wednesday (12/20).  Touched base with Customer Service to try and find out why they haven't shipped yet.  I was told they will most likely ship on Tuesday, 1/2.

Doc Savage was a popular pulp adventure hero created in the 1930s, decades before Marvel issued their comic book version of the character in the early bronze period where they started up a large number of new titles.  The series, unfortunately, never caught on with the buying public and only lasted 8 issues plus one giant-size reprint comic, starting with these two picture frames.  The first ish has John Buscema cover art, the second Jim Steranko creating a fantastic Central American Mayan spectacle, and the interior pencils for both are by Ross Andru.

I very much enjoyed reading Doc's exploits when they were reprinted by Bantam.  Little did I know at the time that they were reprinting the pulp stories out of order.  Still, I looked forward to each and every new paperback when they were released. :)

Has anyone had any movement in their modern orders the past couple of days?

I am asking directly because I am curious about whether the changes CGC implemented in their systems held the books currently in their system back a bit.

It seems they are still backed up from the move. Encapsulation in particular appears to be super bogged down. Or so I inferred from what the rep I spoke to told me. Or maybe just Greggy…who knows?

We must have just spoken to the same rep.  Encapsulation is tying everything up.

  9. Customer Service (or one CSA in particular) drives me nuts.  Sent in a two book MFT with Pressing.  As of today, the books are in Day 20 of what is supposed to be an estimated 17 TAT.  So I called customer service and told them I wanted them to refund my Fast Track fee's because the books have been sitting in G/E/I for three days now.  Again for two books!  The CSA told me that while it was Day 20, the books were not eligible for a Fast Track fee refund.

I went nuclear.  This particular CSA always gives me a hard time while other CSA's are much more than cooperative.  If only I could name names but then this post would probably be deleted.  In any event, she put me on an extended hold and finally came back and told me they would refund the fees.

I am still super ticked because it was like pulling teeth.  Why does everything always have to be a fight?

Important Note About Shipping Address Changes

    Posted on 3/27/2020

NGC, PMG and CGC will make every effort to accommodate requests to change a return shipping address, but these requests must be made before the shipment leaves our facility.

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®), Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) and Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) strive to provide the best possible services to all submitters at all times. During the current challenges brought by coronavirus (COVID-19) we are trying to be particularly accommodating of our collecting community.

Some submitters have asked to change their return shipping address for submissions that have already been received by NGC, PMG or CGC; for example, having submissions shipped to a home address instead of a business address.

We will make every effort to accommodate these requests. For security purposes, these requests must be made in writing and must be received before a package is shipped from our facility. Shipments cannot be rerouted after they have left our facility.

To contact Customer Service and, if necessary, update your return shipping address, please email NGC Customer Service at service@NGCcoin.com, PMG Customer Service at service@PMGnotes.com or CGC Customer Service at service@CGCcomics.com.

    Hi Mike,

I think this note from 2020 needs updating.  MattM CS told me with respect to service@cgccomics.com, that e-mail addy is now defunct.  Anyone who used to send e-mail's to that address should instead use submissions@cgccomics.com.  I don't know if the NGC or PMG service addresses are still functional.

    Thanks!

I only got it on the fourth email trying to understand how "tat's are an estimate, but every time I log in I see the image saying "check out our turnaround times" and im almost double them on one submission.

I know!  The inhouse move (which they didn't have to tell us about and sure enough, they didn't) then CGC has the gall to post that "Check Out Our Turnaround Times" on the main page.  In addition, I spoke to one Customer Service person who tried to tell me that last Friday, 11/10, could not be counted as a Business Day because it was Veteran's Day.  WHAT?!?  Then why was I exchanging PM's with Customer Service on that very day if the offices were closed?  Furthermore, my bank was open on Friday.  So was the Postal Service.  :censored:

Good luck and thanks for sharing.  This inhouse move might explain the delay in mine since I hit GEI and stayed there since 11/2 I believe.  But I’m just outside of the TAT and I was pretty sure NYCC threw a lot at them so things aren’t that bad for me.  About to send another order today too.

This inhouse move would explain why two of my submissions have gone past their estimated TAT's.  I wish Customer Service would have been more forthcoming about this information when called and asked why it just seemed CGC was dragging their heels with my submissions.
