  1. Plans for Batman 142 through 148! https://bleedingcool.com/comics/chip-zdarsky-writes-joker-year-one-very-killing-joke-isnt-it/
  2. I know! The inhouse move (which they didn't have to tell us about and sure enough, they didn't) then CGC has the gall to post that "Check Out Our Turnaround Times" on the main page. In addition, I spoke to one Customer Service person who tried to tell me that last Friday, 11/10, could not be counted as a Business Day because it was Veteran's Day. WHAT?!? Then why was I exchanging PM's with Customer Service on that very day if the offices were closed? Furthermore, my bank was open on Friday. So was the Postal Service.
  3. This inhouse move would explain why two of my submissions have gone past their estimated TAT's. I wish Customer Service would have been more forthcoming about this information when called and asked why it just seemed CGC was dragging their heels with my submissions.
  4. Agreed. I'm fortunate enough to have the local hub manager's ear if there's a problem. If there's a delay or misstep along the delivery path, he'll find it and get it corrected.
  5. I did and I kind of enjoyed it. The reason I say 'kind of' because like you, it felt rushed to me as well.
  6. I sincerely hope the person in receiving responsible for GZ's nightmare, was promptly escorted off CGC premises by security and turned over to the authorities. In turn, have a warrant issued to search the receiver's home to see if they might come upon other 'missing books' (like mine that I mentioned in an earlier post). Who knows what they might discover.
  7. Hi! Yes all four books were packaged in a stack. And shipped in one box. I think I'm going to start taking photo's of what books are placed in a submission box before I send it in.
  8. I find this all very interesting and topical (to me). I recently sent in 4 modern books (2 copies of each issue/title) for pressing and grading. Then this past Monday, 10/30, I receive an e-mail from CGC that when they opened the package, there was only 1 copy of each book, not two. Now I know I have my share of senior moments but I'm pretty much on the mark when it comes to submitting books for grading.
  9. I thought this member's post in the Ask CGC forum was hilarious:
  10. I've been recouping some $$ on some of my Fast Track Submissions because they either didn't meet the estimated TAT or there was no chance in heck they would meet it.
  11. If anyone needs to find out if they've had books removed from their sets and to pinpoint which books were removed, here's what I've been doing. 1. In your Control Panel, go to the Comic List tab and click on it. 2. Towards the upper right, you'll see Total Number of Comics Registered and Total Number of Comics Currently in a Set. 3. If the value of the the Total Number of Comics Currently in a Set does not match (i.e. it's lower), then you have a slab or slabs in the Registry wind. 4. If you wish to find which books are in the wind, go to the In Sets tab just below. If you click on it once, it will show you the highest number of sets a particular slab is in. So click In Sets again, and you should then see the slab(s) which aren't in a set because they'll have a zero value. Screen shots below for the blow by blow. Hope this helps.
  12. I did see this post and when I went back a few hours later, it was gone. I am crying with you my friend. This new registry team totally trashed my Batman 2016 - Rebirth set by entering what were called 'stragglers.' The majority of those stragglers were a slew of Batman 2011 - New 52 books. I asked that they all be removed and they were except for one. The one which wasn't removed I believe is a clerical error and am still waiting to hear back on what they are going to do. Aye carumba.

  14. Thanks anyway, Mike. I just got off the phone with the Postal Service. The young woman I spoke with was also confused as to what happened. She opened a Service Request to get more information and to call them back on Wednesday if I don't see anything happening.
  15. Sent in a MFT submission package late last week via USPS Priority Flat Rate Mail. I properly addressed it to: CGC PO Box 4738 Sarasota, FL 34230 The postal clerk told me the package would arrive, Monday, 10/23. And today, I received a notice that my package was available for pick up. However, when I clicked on the details I saw this: Available for Pickup HIGHLAND CITY 4114 CLUBHOUSE RD HIGHLAND CITY FL 33846-1755 Please see attached screen cap. I immediately called CGC customer service and the gentleman I spoke with had no idea why this happened. I'm now waiting on a call back from the Postal Service to try and get this sorted out. But I mean, what the heck? @CGC Mike
  16. No but I did have a go round with the shipping hub manager earlier in the morning. I even forwarded him the door cam footage from the time of the attempted delivery. I asked him, "Do you see a Fed Ex truck in this footage?" He promised, yes promised, I would receive my shipment today. He also revealed that some drivers, when they see a signature required delivery, they'll blow if off because it slows them down. And that's what the manager said happened here. The driver in question from yesterday will be written up ... whatever that means.
  17. After yesterday's fiasco, Fed Ex FINALLY delivered my CGC package today, Sunday, 10/22.
  18. Thank you for the empathetic ear. The other way I know if a delivery truck be it Fed Ex, UPS, the Postal Service pulls up in front of my house is my dogs start barking something fierce. The next state over can hear them. But not a peep today.
  19. Just today - I was notified by e-mail that my CGC package was out for delivery today (yes, Saturday). A little bit after Noon, I get another e-mail from Fed Ex that my package couldn't be delivered because no one was home - WTF!!! I WAS home. I even went through my door cam footage and there was no Fed Ex truck or driver in front of my home during the time which they say they tried to attempt delivery. And now, no one is answering at the main hub where the shipment is dispatched from.
