The initial Batman Day 608 Foil Edition being released this week, DC is telling retailers the book is returnable because Page 15 should actually be page 21. This according to this Reddit post:

According to bleedingcool.com, a Corrected version will be released on 10/17/23.

    Folks,

Is there a website out there with a good summary of the release and status of Marvel Masterworks?  I used to follow Collected Editions and ordered many from Tales of Wonder over the years.  Both seem to have lapsed...  Any good sites out there?

    Thank you much.

    V/R, Mike

The one on Wikipedia seems to be well maintained ...

I have a submission sitting as received since Sept 4.

My previous submission also took a long while before It was ready to list

I recently checked in with a submission I've been waiting to list (and still waiting).  The response I received from Andrea was there were quite a number of staff out sick and thus the reason for the delay.

    Hi,

Would anyone happen to know if these are listed on the registry and if they are where I would find them along with the Mosaics they did. I appreciate any help.

    Thank You

They are definitely listed in the census but it appears no one has requested for them to be added to a particular Batman set.  So I guess you just need to decide which Batman set you want them added to (maybe Batman (Complete with Variants)).  Once you figure this out, list the books along with the cert #'s and add your request to this thread:

Please be sure to read the first post thoroughly.  Good luck!

    Hi Matt!

While you're checking on the status of the OP's reholder submission, could you please check on the status of one of mine?  It too was a Reholder Submission, 4296231.  It hit Submission Tracking on 7/28 and has been sitting in SFG ever since.  The slab needed to be reholdered because the slab itself was one of those from early 2016 which had no inner well.  I sent an e-mail to submissions@cgccomics.com this past Sunday, (9/10) but have yet to receive a response.

    Thanks!

    @MattM CS

Never mind, Matt.  It just moved to G/E/I this afternoon.  Thanks anyway!  (thumbsu

The vibe at the Con on Friday felt very tame compared to previous years but I did see quite a few big purchases being made with most of them being dealer to dealer.  If you had the goods they were selling and guys like Burns who keeps his prices low seemed to do very well but I did hear some grumblings from guys who didn’t have the goods.  Lots of discount signs came out Friday and I wonder how far the discounts will go today.

Thanks for all the wonderful pics!

Looking forward to picking up this book today especially after a two month deficit.

I suspect insurance is the only way, but that doesn't replace the books I have the memories of gathering 50 years ago.

    +1

Yeah, Collectibles Insurance will cover your collection(s) but MattTheDuck is right, it won't get you back the all the years of treasures and momento's if you've been a long time collector.  I read where some members have their collection under their homeowner's insurance policy.  But I recently read in the Chicago Tribune that insurer's are either dropping clients or substantially raising their annual premiums in states like Florida or California.  The latter especially because God just seems to take his wrath out on that state.

Having the same issue. Tried to add Marvel Comics Wolverine #1 04/2020 Dell'Otto Variant Cover B, D.C. Comics DCeased: Unkillables #1 04/2020 Unknown Comic Books Exclusive Jay Anacleto Virgin, and an easy Marvel Comics X-Men #5 2/92 which have all come up in the search window, but when clicking on it the add comic button is greyed out.

Try changing the contents of the Add Comic field to the following for your three books:

    Wolverine #1 4/20 Dell'Otto Variant Cover B

DCeased: Unkillables #1 4/20 Unknown Comics Convention Edition

    X-Men #5 2/92

They should all appear in the Drop Down List.  Once selected, put in a Declared Value figure and the Add Comic button should become active.  Please see attached screen shot.

Has anyone had a submission moved to a "shipped" status while the link to the submission details has been broken? Wondering if you can see grades on any newly shipped submissions.

Yes, I had one.  The submission number had a broken link when it was G/QC.  As soon as it was marked Shipped, I could click on the sub number and see my grades.  :)

I was just updated on the status of submission tracking.

The CGC submission tracking pages will be fixed by the end of the day Tuesday. Once fixed, these submitters will be able to see their collectible descriptions once a submission reaches the "Scheduled for Grading" status shown below.

    Thank you, Mike!  (thumbsu

Also noticed last night the usually 'clickable' Submission Number on my CGC Submission Tracking page for that particular submission isn't clickable anymore. Has anyone dealt with this issue before?

Same thing happened to me late yesterday afternoon when I was checking my submissions.

What do you think of the upcoming story arc, Batman/Catwoman: Gotham War? I feel like there have been plenty of "Wars" in Gotham recently (War of Jokes in Riddles, City of Bane, Joker War, etc.).

Personally I would enjoy a story arc where Batman solves a crime that occurred.

    I wouldn't mind a few standalone done-in-one issues. :)

  15. I took a friend of mine to a comic convention in Chicago.  I think it was still called Wizard World at that time.  While my friend wasn't really into comics, he did love himself some Transformers.  And I told him he might find something.

Well, we get there and he finds this uber cool Optimus Prime statue.  No price tag.  So I told him to ask the dealer about it.  He did and this dealer couldn't have been more rude to him.  Totally condescending and patronizing.  My friend got pretty upset and yelled at him, "If you don't want to sell it then why did you even put it out?" and walked away.  My friend then came back to me and said, "NEVER bring me to one of these things again."

Recently started consigning some slabs on MCS (via auctions) and am really happy with how easy it all went. On that note, I thought I saw somewhere that winners of auctions have 15 days to pay? Can someone confirm? What happens when they don't pay after that? Does a book/slab go back into another auction?

    @mycomicshop

Yes, auction winners have at least three weeks to pay (which I personally find super annoying).  This is allowed because if someone wants to bid and win auctions in the following week, they can pay for two or three weeks worth of auctions and get combined shipping.  However, if you wind up with a deadbeat bidder who hasn't paid after three weeks, contact Este or Andrea and they'll allow you to relist the book for auction and ban the deadbeat bidder.
