  1. Thanks for your service Marty and for sharing. What convention was it and did you buy any comics? Did any of your kids get the collecting bug? Guessing this might have been the Overstreet you bought.
  2. Always fun to find one in your collection you didn’t realize was considered a “key”. Unread since new. Guess it’s finally time for a bag.
  3. Great stuff Marty. Keep it coming. Excuse me if you’ve addressed this earlier. When did you first decide to “collect” your comics ie worry about keeping them nice? When did they first get bags/boards? Were you concerned about light, temperature or humidity at some point? Were you aware of Overstreet early on? Love stories about collectors before it was a thing so I’d appreciate hearing your journey as a collector.
  4. Excuse me? Quite a perjorative. I’d explain why if you want the absolute best medical treatment in the world you’d come to the US but the nuances might be too much.
  5. Interesting comparison. Let’s take it all the way back to Seurat’s pointillism.
  6. The Aquaman royalties must pay the bills.
  7. Woe (Tree Of). Most magazines, including Savage Sword, are fools gold unless they’re slabbed and in pristine shape which can be an expensive lesson. On the bright side they are a fun read!
  8. Incredible collecting accomplishment as were the Pre Bat Detectives. My understanding was an unknown number of the earliest Church copies of Detective were not purchased off the newsstand by Edgar but were actually back issue purchases. Anything to that on this run? You still have both Tec 8s?
  9. The fading very much reminds me of a dust shadow book that I received an 8.0 on. I wouldn’t be shocked to see that in 6.0-6.5 range.
  10. My best Dr. Freud says he still has it and if I ever get a ticket in SoCal I know who I’m calling.
  11. Twice as nice raw Brundage. A graded 7.0 sold on Heritage over the weekend. Appears to be a generous grade.
  12. Well done and thanks. Can’t wait to see ‘em all.
  13. This one should slide nicely into the man cave!
  14. The surfer page is just getting started it seems
  15. A great sentence starter that can go in so many directions and an even finer score. That would immediately become the crown jewel of my collection. Here’s mine and a step brother.
