  1. The High Republic #1 1st appearance of Keeve Trennis, Vetar, Estala Maru, Lekaki, Kanrii and the 1st comic appearance of Matari, Lina Soh, Sskeer and Voru; also the 1st full appearance of Avar Kriss. The High Republic #2 1st appearance of the Nihil in comics (same release date as High Republic Adventures #1 - HPA#1 also is the 1st appearance of the Nihil - so unsure if it'll be a cameo or a full appearance) The High Republic Adventures #1 1st appearance of Baro, Bibs, Torban Buck, Farzala, Zeen Mrala, Qort, Lula Talisola and the Elders of the Path, as well as the 1st comic appearance of the Nihil (villains of the High Republic).
  2. Surprised there wasn't an individual thread on this topic ~ I've noticed a slight increase in purchases of the Real Ghostbusters' UK and US comic versions since the announcement of Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) ~ The UK editions were released before the American versions, and there's not a great deal of information on the print runs of these, though at the very least Comichron suggested the North American presale numbers for The Real Ghostbusters #14 to be at 2,850 - so god knows what the possible estimates up to The Real Ghostbusters #28 - the last issue, mind you - are like But does anyone collect these per chance? I'll leave the OP with an image of The Real Ghostbusters #1, with the badge attached
  3. Since the news of The Tales of Dunk and Egg aired - one of the prequels to Game of Thrones -, the value of Image Comics' The Hedge Knight #1-7 has seen an increase ~
  4. Curious when the variants will be released of HRA #3 ~ But still there's High Republic #2 and #3, as well as Adventures #1 and #2 - so maybe Ro appears in those even before? But it'll be interesting to see when Loden Greatstorm and Bell Zettifar appear ~
  5. True, but Im hoping a press won't leave a terrible final grade - but just curious what my variants and the limited 600 will be when they arrive
  6. I originally said Nihil, but then I found out the first appearance of the Nihil in comics was in High Republic #2, but the Nihil Raiders? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ~ By the way, my five copies of High Republic #1 came today, a few subscription presses that a future press won't fix
  7. Zatanna Zatanna Zatanna Rumoured to be in Bad Robot's Justice League Dark show, not to mention she was included in Del Toro's JLD film -script too ~ Additionally, Hawkman #4 is still relatively affordable ~
  8. Still surprised how expensive the High Republic #2 (Whitter variant) became
  9. Ah, true true You're right, but both Filoni and Favreau will be the future IMO - especially as Kennedy's contract runs out this year ~ EU characters are in the possession of Disney since 2012, but I'm referring to residuals in the form of books and comics whether it be from Fox or Dark Horse ~ But it's still rather telling that around 20 characters were brought into the fold in the past 9 years, but then again the mentality of Kennedy was to ignore the EU comics
  10. Great stuff! I'm still trying to get some of the rather recent keys ~
  11. Yep, around 20 (or at the very least over 20, to be exact) but there were VERY minor characters Possibly, but read my post on the previous page about EU characters :3
  12. Yep, most of the EU characters won't be "canonised", so to speak, and what many fail to realise is that there's only been around 20 characters including Thrawn that have actually been reintroduced into the "Disney 2012 canon". Though - I hasten to add - apart from Thrawn, every other character has been a rather minor in scope to the point I wasn't even aware of their existence ~ Apart from the "special circumstances" of Darth Bane (in spirit form during Clone Wars) and certain hints at Revan (in a deleted scene of Clone Wars) I'm really unsure ... We have two factions at Lucasfilm: Kennedy who's interested in the "Disney Trilogy" and the High Republic era, and Favreau and Filoni who are interested in the events post-Return of the Jedi as of late (departing from the Prequels and Clone Wars), so it remains to be seen which characters appear - more so in the Kennedy-produced Acolyte show ~ The irony is that there's more of a chance that characters from the High Republic and the High Republic Adventures appear in a show down the line than the possibility of "some he or she" who may, and then there's the aspect of royalties in respect to whether Disney would want to create new characters or simply use EU ones; given the current predicament Disney is in with regards to losing a great deal of money presently: cinemas closing; Mulan bombing at the box-office, parks, attractions and cruises being cancelled, etc, while factoring in the recently publicised fact that Disney refused to pay Star Wars author, Alan Dean Foster, his royalties for his pre-Disney acquisitional contributions to Star Wars - just food for thought
  13. Thanks a lot ^_^ Thanks :3 But I'm curious what grade you'd give it post-press? ~
  14. Thanks a lot and agreed with the background
  15. I was wondering what grade do you think this is? Would this benefit from a press or a clean? There is a slight crease on the left-hand side of the comic and there's notably a bend at the bottom left corner (though the front cover seems fine-ish) I've included some additional images in the spoiler-tag and all comments are appreciated
  16. I was wondering whether this would benefit from a press and a clean? There's a slight bend in the bottom-right front corner, but obviously a prevalent crease on the back bottom-right ~ I've included some additional images in the spoiler-tag and all comments are appreciated
  17. Forbidden Planet has now limited the sales of High Republic: Adventures #1, High Republic: Adventures #1's Yoda variant, and High Republic #2 (Witter Variant) to 1 per customer
  18. True, but Filoni and Favreau seem to be focused on the events after the Original Trilogy, whereas the Acolyte is a Kennedy-controlled project, for the most part ~ It's very telling that all but one show take places before the Prequels and Disney/Lucasfilm understands that the money is in Grogu (Baby Yoda) and Luke Skywalker, hence why they're staying WELLLLLL clear from that awfully-underdeveloped trilogy they cobbled together years ago - even to the point of erasing canon, such as Baby Yoda being Luke's first student instead of "Ben", for example The point I'm trying to make is that although Kathleen Kennedy is the head of Lucasfilm: the buck stops at the two Bobs - Bob Iger most of all as he has greenlighting power (he greenlit the Sequel Trilogy, Solo, Mandalorian etc) ~ Another consideration is when does the Acolyte take place in relation to the High Republic and the Adventures: The Acolye takes place during the "end of the High Republic" and we know the High Republic is a 200-year-period, after the events of the Old Republic and that most of the characters are human so it's very unlikely we'll see them in that show ~ But that changes if they announce an early High Republic animated or live show - but that depends on the success of the comics ~
  19. Still curious how those "limited to 600" variants will do - especially if there's an animated series in the future regarding the High Republic ~
  20. I was wondering whether this would benefit from a press and a clean? I've also noticed some subscription presses too ~ I've included some additional issues in the spoiler-tag and all comments are appreciated
