  1. I have a 9.8 of the non-foil version. I just have no idea where I put it, but I remember I got the book raw for cheap. The silver foil got a little too rich for my blood, but I like it.
  2. @nepatkm were the Punisher magazines reprints, new material, or a mix of both? I may have to add those to my list. I've only seen them a handful of times at the stores.
  3. Going to put together a Canadian newsstand set. Four issues to go. I have a signed set of the limited series signed when I met Mike Zeck at the Cincinnati Comic Expo in 2015 (I think). Neither of the big two were there for slabbing purposes, so I just go COAs with them.
  4. Agree. I really liked the series from 2014 before it got puked on for Secret Wars, and the series where he fighting the guys on super PCP. The last series started strong, then fizzled out for me. I did like the Soviet mini though. Garth still knows how to write the Punisher.
  5. While it would be nice if MCS broke out the NS vs DE in their stock, they've had a few issues with identifying Canadian newsstand issues vs the normal DE books. It could be honest mistake, but these were two I noticed that have actual item pics and not generic pics. While I'm more of a pence and Canadian newsstand collector, I think it would be awesome if MCS distinguished their direct and NS copies. Chuck does it, but I would be 1000x more comfortable buying from Buddy.
  6. Mask of the Phantasm was really good. I don't think I appreciated it as a kid when I saw it. I went back and rewatched it a couple years ago and it is very well done. It's one of my top Batman movies overall. I don't recall much about any of the Marvel animated stuff other than X-Men and Spider-Man series (both of which had some strong runs), although both the Transformers and GI Joe movies were technically Marvel films. So I'm going with Mask of the Phantasm, Return of the Joker, pretty much any of Disney's output during the Golden Age of American Animation, Robotech/Macross, and Heavy Metal.
  7. The Beast/Storm cover came in a "comic collector starter pack" along with some other book. Some Deathlok issue, along with 50 poly bags and some guide on how to collect. That was the first X-Men issue I read and for a long time was one of my favorite monthly series to read. I have the gatefold cover signed by Lee and Claremont. One of my few signed books. Thanks for starting this!
  8. @Corona smith that stinks about the packaging. Boxes are inexpensive to free to acquire and rigid cardboard sheets are like $20 for a giant stack. Will any press back to normal or do they have color breaks now?
  9. This one I remember being confusing when I read it. It kept referencing things that were happening in the current issues of GI Joe and Transformers and I know damn well I didn't have the issues that were going on. I got into the comic game late for these titles. I'd probably have to pull it back out and read it along with the issues that it references to understand everything. I do love 80s and early to mid 90s Marvel, and have been trying to collect as many of the mini series as I can (especially from the 80s). I should read them all at some point, but of the ones I've sat down to read I would also go with Punisher or Wolverine.
