  1. I don't know but I noticed some of my boards from when I was a kid looking really bad (35 years ago) soooo...probably sooner than that I'm guessing.
  2. I am getting ready to re-board my HG Iron Man 1-332 run and I am wondering if I should use half backs or the thicker full backs. I don't know that I have ever seen a fullback so if anyone has a preference they would like to share or some picks of the different thickness it would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Nah, just Google TOR browser. It's like downloading any browser. It just takes a little longer to launch.
  4. Actually you can easily use a proxy server that masks your IP and view anything here even if they are monitoring IP's
  5. 9.4 The spine corners have a bit too much where imo to get 9.6
  6. Seller: cb_comics They have "sold" the same books several times to "users" with no or very few feedback. They have very little feedback themselves. I didn't realize it until I wondered who overpaid for one of the books I was looking at.
  7. If OP is into SS slab books and wants to keep it for their collection then spend the extra money. If OP is trying to make a profit I would think you would need to have 9.8 book to begin with. I don't se SS books moving very quickly. Seems to be a niche of a niche market.
  8. Olive oil applied with a cotton ball. let it sit for a couple of minutes and wipe off. At least that's what I use On the stupid graffiti put on there by ComicLink.
  9. I am partial to Romita Jr. and McFarlane for nostalgia to my youth but always loved Andru's work on it.
  10. I had the opposite happen where I was outbid at the last second so I moved on to another book then later see that I was the top bidder and won the previous book. I am glad that I went back and happened to see it because I could not have afforded winning the other book I was about to bid on and the first one.
  11. If this is the one I sold several years ago I got it from a kid down the street who left it up in the car window on a trip to Florida.
  12. Do not contact a local printer, their prices will be astronomical. I would contact printers that print comics. Get quotes from places like transcontinental printing inc. (Canada), Quad/Graphics (MN). Or like a lot of Independents you can use http://www.printninja.com/ which for a 4 color 20 page book shipped to Chicago (for example) costs $1450US (for $50 more you can get 1200 copies). They use the same weight paper as marvel etc. Takes a little longer to get your books so some planning is necessary. Go to a con and talk to some artists you like in the artist alley area and you will be able to get a skilled penciler for $150US-$250US and an inker for $75 or so. There are more people out there that want to work in comics than read comics I think sometimes so it is not hard to find good artists.
  13. A couple of publishers will look at proposals to publish your book. Dark horse and Image are two. Having said that it is preferable to have at least the first issue completed. So you would need to hire people to do all the things you can't. If you look hard you can find someone to pencil and ink a page for $150US. Is it going to be 4 color or B/W? A colorist will cost between $50-120US/page. You can probably letter it yourself, look here (http://www.balloontales.com/) for tips. Need a free comic book font? Look here (http://www.blambot.com/). Ok. The good news is that barrier to entry is a lot lower than pre computers and the internet. The bad news is that statistically speaking you have a better chance of being a professional football player than a professional comic writer. I suggest you forget trying to have a publisher do it for you and just do it yourself. You can do a web comic or research kickstarter as an option. Good luck.
  14. There are some comic professionals in a private Facebook group discussing harassing a guy who does reviews/cometary on comics via you tube at the Baltimore con. Well they have someone in that group that sent a screenshot of the conversation to the guy.
  15. That is one sweet piece of art. I am not an OA guy but am tempted.
  16. Who knows. Gets them in trade, buys collections. Gets them cheaper than he can sell them.
  17. I know. I think he is overpriced but he does have some really nice books I want. I noticed the disparity too. He may not be the one submitting all the books he is selling.
  18. I don't think they want you to know how there data is acquired. The bulk of sales come from eBay but be cautious on their data. They miss anything where CGC and grade are not mentioned in the Title. They also pull full asking price when a lower offer is sent to a specific buyer and purchased on a Buy it Now. I know they Do Not pull Comic Link data which is a huge loss IMO.
  19. I cannot speak to everything in the guide but I noticed what I buy that even dealers who advertise as OPG contributors want 30% above guide. Not much of a guide for me really.
