  1. a few years ago I picked up an original drawing by Stan of Usagi fighting Leonardo from a comic event in Columbus, Ohio... at the time, $400 was a lot to spend, but I love it. I am a big fan. I will never get Albedo # 2, but I have all the Usagi Yojimbo comics from all 4 publishers, plus all the mini and special issues.
  2. With Punchline it is too early to tell. Soon, Harley will kick her butt because DC has a lot invested in Harley and she is still popular. They are launching a Harley digital series. So as of right now, Harley is ok... but if Punchline takes over for Joker after Joker War... who knows.
  3. The last 7 issues of this were very hard to find at a fair price. I finished my run about 7 years ago finding issue 32 and 33 about to be put in a 0.50 bin at half priced books. It must have been fate, the worker was put the yellow stickers on a stack off comics. I saw the Maxx ones in the stack, I was shocked that it had a bunch of issues, of course of the 15 issues the first 13 were all below issue 30... then, 32 and 33! So I paid a $1 a piece so the $0.50 yellow sticker didn't get put on the covers. A great day in comic collecting for me.
  4. It is what it is. I do like the B & W. But now, another person in comics gets a job. Coloring the old stuff and coloring the new stuff. We who have been reading Usagi forever love it as is... but for the next generations of comic readers, color might get them to read the original stories and the new ones. I did get an original art of Usagi fighting Leonardo a few years ago, it one of my favorites of my collection.
  5. The Half Priced books in Columbus used to have a $0.25, then $0.50 bins. I have found gems in these boxes and trying to get the sticker off is not worth it. It is either an 20 minute exacto affair after you have put a very very very small amount to lighter fluid on the sticker to make the sticker easier to peal off or you ruin the cover more when the sticker tears off part of the cover... it is an iffy affair that is not worth it. Lighter fluid works great on price stickers on paperback book covers, but on comics if you use the slightest to much (like an extra drop) it bleeds through and damages the comic worse then the sticker. For a while, before they stopped the bins, they put the sticker on the back cover. I loved this! but there was a collector who didn't like it because getting a price sticker of white part of page is near impossible. So, leave the sticker on the comic.
  6. I just got a 1000 M2 and Halfbacks in Gold/Silver size, they are very wide, the plus is I can put 2 issues per. But as I moved from the 1970s Amazing Spider-man to the 1980's issues in my re-bag to Mylar project for my Spider-man collection, theere is even more room when I put 2 per bag/board. Can you put 2 comics per if they are standard size M2s? Also, I just purchased Spectacular Spider-man 1-65 from a local collector, he put them in PP/PE (not sure which) in the late 1970's/ early 1980's and never re-bagged... they had been in the same bags for over 35 years. Yes the bags were wavy and some stuck together and the boards were yellow, but the comics are in great shape. He stored them in boxes in his finished basement room (climate controlled) and they were off the floor.
  7. Start with Rebirth, then go in the Geoff Johns series after Rebirth, that is fantastic... the Sinestro war is incredible.
  8. Cool that you are getting into ASM collecting! I started about 6 years ago to get serious about it and am down to issue 35. Fortunately, I stumbled onto a bunch of these keys about 5-6 years ago. But if you are not looking for the best of the best grades, you can get key books at a fair price. I got a 41 (1st Rhino) in 5.5 grade for $106 off ebay last month. I got my 129 (Punisher) in 4.0 for $135 before the Netflix DD serious. ASM 50 (Kingpin) for $65 in 6.0. ASM 101 (Morbius) was $87 on 6.0 ASM 238 (Hobogoblin) was a steal at Half Priced book sale in 7.0 for $1. I also picked up a ASM 300 at HPB for $55 in 6.0 (Another steal, a employee knew I collected and gave me a great deal on ASM 300-325, they didn't go on the floor yet, the lot for 301-325 for $45 too) ASM 361 I bought on the shelf at my comic store. Good Luck!
  9. I have 2 copies. When I hadn't updated my wishlist a few years ago I bought a second copy for $18 because I thought I didn't have it, this is because I was/am bad at updating my wishlist, even though now it is on a google doc on my phone, I am not great at updating.... This is one of my good mistakes... .
  10. Does the TV show mean this comics might come back? I know it is a dream... but this is one of my favorite comics of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Yes! I just purchased 1000 Mylite 2 and Half Backs... I forgot to buy their Archival Tape and E.Gerber requires $100 order before ship. I don't want to purchase 8 rolls today... there is a guy on Amazon who sells them for $17 instead of $14 at E.Gerber, I purchased 3 rolls. E.Gerber with shipping they are $15.00 a roll if you do not pay tax. Their Archival Tape works well with their mylar. Was a great experience. Faster then the 2 t0 4 weeks they quote. I got my stuff 8 days after ordering. You must order over the phone, no online order. Shipping cost $52 extra, but no tax since I do not live in Maryland. They used UPS and shipped the order in 2 boxes.
