  1. Wayne-Tec is an awesome guy! Can't wait to see it
  2. I agree, flash 123 is more of an important silver age DC key in general not just pertaining to flash.
  3. Great pickup on the AC23 Cosmic Boy! Oh and those return copies are sweet! Moldoff did amazing wings on Hawkman
  4. I'm leaning towards showcase 8, surprised no one voted for it It's the second appearance of the flash, the first appearance of his first (and a major) villain, came out in '57 and it seems to be the most HTF and costly of the 3 Flash 105 would be a close second imo
  5. Hi Rick, First off great thread! Now, if an action comics #1 cover surfaced, what would your estimate be on the hammer price? Sorry if this question has already been asked Thanks
  6. I'm not sure what Gator would place the value at, but I picked up a cover last year for around 9,500 on ebay. This was "cheap" because it was raw with so so pictures that made it tough to tell authenticity/restoration. It was also from a seller who never sold comics. I'm happy with the gamble though. I'm not selling, but after I had it graded I've been offered quite a bit more then what I paid. Love this cover! What a beauty you have So did you pickup the coverless copy on HA?
  7. I am surprised too , I'm sure there are other boardies with copies
  8. Just got this today, and it's a sweet Schomburg cover to boot!
  9. You should get one because I am beginning to feel really lonely in this club with the only copy posted Come on guys, its rare but they must exist, lets see some Flash Comics #1s
  10. Thank you That is quite the nice DC wantlist you have there and keep at it I'm sure you will find a copy!
  11. Are we talking restored or unrestored? I havent seen any low grade sales recently though, I can imagine it wont be cheap either way.
  12. Beautiful All-Select Comics 9! From raygun shot to gun shot...
  13. Thank you! It was exactly what I needed to pull the trigger
  14. Thanks everyone! Cant wait to see them George
  15. Thanks Guys I think so too, you don't see them as often as some of the other Golden Age #1s!
  16. Hey guys, I have seen a Batman #1 club as well as a Captain America Comics #1 club but nothing for flash comics 1. So without further ado lets see some lovely Flash #1s! This is my ticket to the club that I picked up just last weekend
  17. I have done multiple deals with Dom on some big ticket books, and I could not be any happier! Dom always communicates very well and has outstanding shipping to withstand almost anything! Whether its buying, selling or trading, do not hesitate to deal with this excellent boardie Thanks for everything Dom!
  18. the book looks great in there as it is and the brittle pages appear quite comfortable in their current bed. leave them be. pre-robin collectors are smart enough to understand label notes and grades. if it ever went to auction i doubt the label color would change the hammer price all that much in this particular case. Very true, with this particular copy it wouldn't really change much.
  19. Thanks man! I can stare at it all day Thank you, I definitely agree! I may resubmit it later and get the resto removed. Most importantly it is complete with all the original pages (nothing married) and a clean back
  20. Thanks everyone! Glad to be a part of the club
  21. Never thought I would join the club especially with this book, but here we go... detective comics 35, one of the best batman covers ever done! This copy was originally purchased raw at a con in '86 and slabbed 2 years ago. I believe it hasn't been shown to the public until now. The book presents beautifully, no tape, no stains, no pen or other markings. I think it got hit a bit harsh with the grade even with the BP but the good thing is that its very slight CT and tear seals, which can be removed. Regardless, I am very happy to own this piece of history especially after seeing how well the raw .5 (missing back) on heritage did. Thanks for looking
