Top staple looks like it was reattached or replaced. With a really good press I'd say 6.5, maybe 7.0. Not sure about a blue label though...

The staples are original. The book seems to have had an even worse spine roll then it does now. Someone probably tried to correct it and in doing so created the staple tears. Really sucks becuase the book looks great.

What books  were you trying to sell/trade?

    Silver Surfer 1 CGC 6.0

Tomb of Dracula 10 CGC 6.0 case crack/top sticker missing

    Fantastic Four 50 CGC 6.0  -

Tales of the Teen Titans 2 CGC 9.6

    Y: The Last Man 1 CGC 9.6

    Amazing Spider-Man 101

    Amazing Spider-Man 194

    Werewolf by Night 33

Maybe Amazing Spider-Man #15 CGC 4.5 not sure yet on this one though.

Not sure I am willing to sell some of these for cash just yet but definitly willing to trade. I am also willing to add up to 200$ USD.

There is currently a 7.5 on ebay (that i dont want cuz the back has alot of fox unfortunaly) for right around 700 + shipping so that is the total value I am willing to trade.

I would recommend selling the book or books you were offering  to trade, and use the proceeds to purchase the SS4.  I find it's real hard to find someone that wants the offered trades, and has the book you want.  I know that's not what this thread is about but, it's something to consider going forward.

After trying for over weeks I think this is probably gonna be the best option.

  4. I don't usually buy/sell/trade stuff on the boards but recently decided to try and trade for Silver Surfer 4.  would like to mention I have bought books before from boardies without issue.

I got a reply from someone interested within a day of posting. I then replied back and the person didn't respond for over a week.

I saw the user online by checking there profile and decided to send a new message to them and ask if they were getting my message. Days go by and nothing, user still comes online. probably put me on ignore list.

I will not mention the users name but I find this extremely childish. I don't get why you cant just let me know your not interested anymore. Instead of leaving someone hanging while you continue to come online and post stuff.

I have had this happen to me on Instagram and stopped buying/posting there because this happened a few times in a row. I guess now people on the boards are doing this too. Has anyone else had this happen to them on the boards?

It’s possible that this (and trade threads in general) would fare better in the "Want To Buy" section.

I thought this was the correct place to post this? Am I gonna get in trouble for posting trades in sales forum?

That's what I thought. The outer layer of paper has a glossy coat, but they color-touched the matte-surface underlayer, which is why that color touched underlayer looks more like dark charcoal colored than the jet black of the unflaked glossy area. You could see that they were two completely different textures.

The flash and angle I took the picture makes it look brighter and uneven.

  7. Out of curiosity I spent some time looking over copies on eBay.

Although it is hard to see in pictures due to the light having to hit the book just right I have come across a few books with the exact same issue.

Since I did not pay much for the book I decided to go crazy and peel a very small piece of the glossy part near the corner with the suspected color touch.

Turned out under that it was also black, and looks identical to the other black area with suspected color touch.

After looking over the book with magnification/very good lighting it is 100% not color touch IMO.

Under the glossy surface of the outside cover there is a black layer and that is seen in the images  I posted.

I would like to thank everyone who replied and apologize for wasting everyone's time.

Man, it’s hard to tell for sure because the really up close pics are a bit blurry, but it looks like it’s color touch.  Did it bleed through?

There is no bleed threw under the chipped area. But along the side edge there looks to be a tiny black dot.

Its so small and even with a standard magnifying glass I cant tell what it is.

At first I was thinking it was the under part of the cover due to how thick it is but like i said i have not really looked at a lot of killing jokes in person to know.
