  1. Looks like it could be an 8.0 but really hard to be confident because of the plastic.
  2. Thanks for the pics, whetteon! Is the Lyria site yours? I've checked your site for years, great way to see . Now that I think of it, I noticed recently the redirect/link to ebay for each item just leads to the feebay generic landing page, not the item in question. Is that a browser thing? Firefox, generally. The top 100 is my favorite but each of the other tabs is useful too.
  3. Mostly FOMO (fear of missing out) on the Gauntlet set -after I'd sold mine back in the day - made me pull trigger w/o pics, which I would think insane generally.
  4. I was gonna wait for the pictures, but you priced things so reasonably (and the books aren't big $$ books anyway) that I'd take your grading on faith.
  5. Amazing Spider-Man #365 VF - $2 this one too please
  6. Infinity Gauntlet #1-6 VF+ - $10 for the whole set Marvel Tales Peter Porker, The Spectacular Spider-Ham #1 VF - $10 Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #27 NM - $3 Peter Poker, The Spectacular Spider-Ham #1 VF - $6 Punisher War Journal #1 NM - $5 Warlock and the Infinity Watch #1 - NM $2 I'll take these pls
  7. My Amazing Spider-man #1 got here really fast, Dan. Thank you very much! Great book, very pleased. If you're in the market for slabbed FFs, I can vouch that Dan's was a pleasure to deal with - got my check and sent me the comic, the term for feedback here is "kudos", so here's another one Dan. : )
  8. You too? I saw the same post by the same member not that long ago. But maybe it was in a sales thread? Dunno. Oh, and Congrats!
  9. It's deja vu. All over again. Who was that quarterback who kept retiring ? Was it Brady?
  10. Within about ten minutes of seeing this story I logged into paypal and deleted the link to my bank acct. Just in case. Even though I don't participate on paypal discussion boards since there's no such thing. This stuff's just gotten too weird.
  11. Really great books. To help shoppers, I'd suggest putting all the pics - except the first pic of full front cover, and maybe full view of back too - inside a spoilers click-down.
  12. Could totally see that happening. Nothing extensive of course (i.e. 'frankenstein' books), but that ASM I got is missing an ad page, and a bit of magic marker on cover does not impress me ("color touch" under most definitions). I know a missing page is not same as resto, but the same basic idea of 'damaged goods.'
  13. I recently completed my ASM run with a copy of #1. Woo-friggin-hoo for me. Sadly AF 15 at half the current prices would be about the only thing that pries open my wallet to buy a copy. Sad, but as much as I'd love to own one, I more love having that enormous amount of money. : ) It was just a couple of years ago when I considered (for first time) plunking down my dollars for a copy - but that same month the prices skyrockets - I'd been eyeballing a 4.0 or 4.5 for around $15-18000. What a laugh, right? But I totally thrill on the idea of never owning a copy if helps y'all get a better price for your copies - I'm not hoping that the AF 15 market crashes or anything, just observing my place in the Amazing Fantasy Fifteen arena. Shoulda coulda woulda.
  14. Super fast shipping of a book I bought in this thread. Great book too. Thank you very much.
  15. I'll take this pair Ed, thank you. ! And my hat's off to @Jazzno the super-collector of the day for flagging me on this obscure "need" of mine I once mentioned in another sales thread. Gracias!
  16. Gorgeous copy. Weird I must've sold my MP 2, been hunting one since I discovered that gap a year or so back. Like you I'm a big fan and pleased to have all the other Warlock related comics. Including those two lame cameos in Thor 163-164 that consist of a single panel showing the cocoon, what a larf. And I never considered the Avengers 118 as part of this set, that's cool - and pleased to see that you included the two issues of Two In One post Warlock's 'death.' I forget, does Warlock appear in Death of Capt Marvel graphic novel #1 ? Probably not since it was by Starlin, who probably still respected the material too much at that point.
  17. That's like the only issue of Batman I have, not counting a bunch of Tec (with Adams' insides and/or cover). Agree with you that cover is a little bit faded, but it's not a terrible example of fading, probably reduced from a 6.5 or so. And yours (imo) looks nicer than the 6.0 that sold same day for $80 more, which has crappy wrap and spots of moderate wear.
  18. Pretty sure rule is must give either scan or estimated grade (either/or). But it might be good policy if seller feels confident in assigning grade.
  19. Hi Ed - is that just dirty glass on some of these, and not defect of the book e.g. see the pic above, the smudges on Venom? Thanks a lot.
  20. Not directly related to paypal - the big (humongous) credit cards changed the rules several years ago - think it was 2018. A lawsuit was settled, and the Visa/MC lenders agreed it was no longer prohibited for vendors (e.g. restaurant or comic book store) to add a surcharge (generally 3-4% based on the credit card fee imposed on the retailer) for customers who used plastic. Or, alternatively, for those retailers to offer a cash discount for cash-paying customer by the same few percent. Paypal not being party to the settlement can do whatever it wants, but it's policy is now firmly outside the practice of remainder of payment-card system. It caught my eye when I went back to hell, I mean home, in NY, a few years ago when all the gas stations offered a cash discount or credit card surcharge. And it seems like all the other retailers joined in the policy, too. The poor slobs, I mean my family and friends still living there could give more precise info. But I've also since noticed some restaurants in Texas have adopted the same policy, and also saw a gas station that does the same (only it had a dime difference between cash/credit price though, not a % based amt like the rest I've mentioned).
  21. Supposed to have a return policy, just a head's up your thread might be disappeared.
