  1. I have low expectations for the X-Men movie....getting pushed back a few months is probably a bad sign. At the current prices, a small drop in % value can tie up your dollars for years. Long term I agree - it's still a great investment. But IMO too risky for a 2-3 year window, assuming we are at an all time high in both economy and pre-movie hype.
  2. I hear Stan's voice very clearly in my head...."Knowing how TITANICALLY TALENTED our RIOTOUS READERS are...." thanks for sharing!
  3. When I logged into CL today I got a notice that they were now collecting sales tax on items being shipped to NY. Are they doing this for all states? Did anyone else get the notification? Thanks, Donger
  4. Definitely Claremont sigs, the first loop is a giveaway. This pic here is from a CGC SS 123.
  5. Hm not sure where I got that 7 year window (my memory is shaky in old age); from the FAQ I stand corrected: https://www.cgccomics.com/comic-grading/faq/ "Is it necessary to get my CGC book reholdered after a certain number of years? No. The CGC holder is designed for long-term preservation and provides superior protection for your books. A properly handled and stored CGC-certified book can last for generations."
  6. In my opinion as a buyer - I would prefer a newer label. If the CGC recommendation for reholder is followed (is it 7 years?), those red label books are overdue for a reslab. This slightly increases my costs and risks as a buyer.
  7. Technically, as a seller you should be: 1) Collecting taxes from the buyer 2) Remitting said sales taxes to the state of purchase 3) Additionally sending your business income taxes on your income For those new states involved (and eventually all states that have a sales tax) a) They are now collecting sales taxes from the buyer b) Since they are now collecting this tax you no longer have to do #1 and #2 above It's unclear to me whether they are also collecting local/city tax; if someone can chime in that would be great. This is terrible news for the buyers unless you live in one of those tax free states.
  8. One other important piece - you can only use the coupon once, so if you have multiple buys/orders, be careful!
  9. Hi There thanks for the info. I can't find any of this info on the CGC website, so this leads me back to the idea that it is longer a service. Does anyone have an 'official link' where I can get more info and perhaps the forms to be used? Thx!
  10. Hi There, Long time lurker but firs time poster! I had a Sig Series question. There's a sketch from the esteemed Mr Sternanko on eBay at the moment. It has no grade but it has a yellow label with some interesting info. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nick-Fury-sketch-by-Jim-Steranko-CGC-SS-original-art/292849599096 I can't find any information on the CGC website regarding this program. In addition - I was at NYCC this year, and I asked about getting a Alex Maleev sketch witnessed, I was told by a witness employee 'we don't do that". Is this ebay listing involved with a CGC program that is now defunct? Or was the employee mistaken? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! P.S. The Maleev turned out great! I hope the embedding doesn't cause a problem.
