  1. Had the pleasure of being able to scratch a book off of Jamie’s Hobgoblin check list and have to report it was a pleasure and seamless experience. wish him the best with his hunt and would recommend him to others. thanks again !!!
  2. Assuming this is right, the cards aren’t it either. I’m thinking if published, it would be a pin up in one of those wildstorm or Gen13 special one shot type issues or a bonus pin up in one of the Gen 13 series’ issues https://www.worldofwildstorm.com/gen-13-chromium https://www.worldofwildstorm.com/gen-13-96
  3. In any event the fact a 9.6 sold for that much is impressive. Can’t wait to see what the 9.8 goes for
  4. I think that if a 9.8 were to come to market then it’d have a shot of displacing the dellotto and for sure landing at #2 over the UF4. Though there’s clearly less of these than the asm given how few have transacted publicly.
  5. Wow. Unbelievable result. Think this makes it a contender to the dell’otto and UF4 djurdjevic
  6. Looks like it already beat the dellotto 9.6 that sold in June (blue label sold for $12k per jaydog, I think market timing is probably fine for this book since it’s so niche and rare… As the ppl who want this are willing to shell out top dollar since it rarely comes up for sale
  7. Very curious to see how this ends https://www.ebay.com/itm/204478754710
  8. Depends on when they’re signing (check social media for signing times), length of creator line (the witness will let you know if they can go to next artist/writer or if they need to go back to cgc booth), and where the creator is, artist alley or main floor (witnesses are usually assigned to one area) best advice I can give is do the ground work above (figure out where and when each person is signing before grabbing a witness) and you’ll have a very pleasant and efficient experience. Hope you have a great show !
  9. New this week and quickly sold (my 2nd copy )
  10. Edge of venomverse 1 Martina ultimate edition (another grading company) would be a good barometer. This is the first book (I believe) where all copies were slabbed up to a certain qty
  11. You should send some of these, at least the 607, back as it’s not just a newsstand but a price variant. the correct label should say “$3.99 Newsstand Edition” where it would be broken out in the census.

  13. I remember that article https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidseideman/2018/04/18/mint-2-5-million-mickey-mantle-card-nearly-dumped-in-the-atlantic/?sh=7f7532774791
  14. HC/omnibus collectors must be a different breed. Guess there may have been extras in there. Plus it was giant sized edition so maybe that played a factor
  15. That’s about right. The 750 must be a sealed copy and probably is a new high
  16. Happy to finally have found this book. The direct market with the Bruce Timm cover is tough to find in my experience. But a great under the radar JSC interior
  17. Love how this guy has a completely different reaction when he first introduces himself and asks permission from the shop owner 🤣
  18. These clearly look fake… even shows additional staple holes. 🤦‍♂️ https://www.ebay.com/itm/204130222175 https://www.ebay.com/itm/204130227434
  19. This may be an example similar to what marvel was doing with their X-men (e.g., wolverine 88 “deluxe”) and age of apocalypse series. Offering the direct market a basic product for the collector who just wanted to read the story and another version for those that wanted the gimmicks (card inserts, foil cover, better paper stock, etc.) I recall it as being a response to readers concern of the escalating price of comics as each month was some “special edition” holo-chrome-diecut edition of non key/event type book.
