  1. one day I drove to each of your stores. lots of driving. took all day. on one of the days I ended up lost, at a Native American reservation (?) cigarette outlet. Spent some time talking in the parking lot with a guy that was nicotine-stained from head to toe.
  2. Yes, perhaps that is correct. A manager. She has been there as long as I've been coming to Houston to visit my mom - at least 8 years or so. So, yes, I believe it to be Leeann
  3. MR. BEDROCK! I miss coming to your stores. My mom passed away so I don't get to Houston anymore much. Is Stacey (I think that was her name) still at the Missouri City store? She was always so nice as were all your employees!
  4. I overheard the guys at the LCS (who usually are pretty spot on with their comic-book stuff) said this was P-Diddy's copy. Can anyone confirm this?
  5. I delt with him at Heritage numerous times. He was a nice guy.
  6. please erase if this "high-jacking" a sales thread: I used to collect "sleaze paperbacks" but not for the cover but for the story/writing. It was tough going as most are written so poorly, however, there was one writer who was amazing: Orrie Hitt (he had some psydemums - Katy something) Anyways, curious if anyone has read Hitt or any of these books, if your collecting gets beyond the great cover art?
  7. I've smoked plenty of crack. Who knows, I may have sold my original run of Ronin to buy more crack, however, that being said, the crack-pipe was a better investment than any time or money spent with/on Ronin
  8. Ronin was very bad. Never got into the Sin City stuff. But has far as the FULL ON SUCKAGE, I think there was a Batman and Robin kinda comic. Then there was the 9/11 one or something...
  9. WHEN DID FRANK MILLER'S ART/STORIES START TO SUCK SOOOOOOOO BAD!
  10. I just buy average comics in the 7.0 - 8.0 range now. If it's a mega key like XMen94, I have a VG/F and call it a day
  11. This last two sentences of your above linked article needs attention/discussion, I feel: If you love stamps just for the pure joy of collecting them, then your chosen hobby is likely to become significantly less expensive in the future. Just don't expect a lucrative financial return from your vintage stamp collection.
  12. these were the books to have when I was a kid. Always on a shelf on display behind the register. I have a 94 VG/F. Never tire at looking at these
  13. in there any superhero movie you guys won't see ?
  14. by all accounts he was a great guy. An Iraq war vet, solid good person. A rarity in the film biz, and the world in general. he fell through a rotted piece of wood on the cat walk. fell from 40-60 feet onto concrete. un f-ing believable No, you don't have to wear a harness while on the cat walks because it's suppose to be safe with solid wood walkways, knee rails, and hand rails Way to go Manhattan Beach Studios (owners of Radford studios). Hope you saved some cash with your sh---- ty safety work
  15. always and without fail. Chances are very good this guy was busting his butt, working impossible hours and cutting corners (and if he didn't cut corners to save time and complained, he would be fired) so someone "above the line" could make more money.
  16. It is very sad. it gets dangerous up there especially when rushed (to save time and money) which is all the time. Wonder what federal investigation will reveal? Who knows, maybe he was goofing around and fell. RIP brother
  17. it was so country in the late 70s. I'd stay at my grandma's and walk to Maria's
  18. thanks. you are right, Joe moved to burke after Manassas. Marie's was a hole-in-the-wall. So much time has passed, sometimes I don't know what was real and what I simply imagined.
  19. Does the wife have an Only Fans account?
  20. yeah - it's like imax thing. I guess original art people might gack out.
