  1. I don't really follow the prices with specificity. although I appreciate the guys here who do the detailed graphs about AF15's $ highs and lows, I can rarely understand the graphs themselves as I only went to college for about 6 months before dropping out. Most of those 6 months were spent in pursuit of this woman named Kirstein. We made out once at Rhodes Hall at Radford University in southern Virginia. I had arranged to make out with her another time at a friend's nearby house; he was going to split and leave me the place but his room mate ended up coming home and didn't want to leave because he wanted to watch the season premier of Airwolf.
  2. not comic book related, but art book related. someone has a book for sale at 400$. Is it bad form to send them a DM offering 300$? While I've negotiated on eBay, never have done so on Abebooks
  3. Bump! We need more AF15 news! Big sales only!
  4. At they're at the Costco getting Ritz Crackers for craft service
  5. you ever work on a non-union show with no medics? I worked on a show on location once and all the "medics" were strippers from a local strip club who were hired because they were cheap, they thought it would be fun to work on a movie! All hilariously funny and jokes galore until that dude cut his arm off with a saw....
  6. get a hold of a call sheet, any call sheet, there's always 10-15 producers
  7. It was great when SAG didn't walk the picket lines for a couple of days a month or so ago because it was "too hot" at 100 degrees or whatever. You know how many times I've dragged around heavy gear on shoots when it's been over 100 degrees for weeks on end while SAG members sit in their air conditioned trailers waiting for someone to bring them their Starbucks order? It's hard to feel anything good about actors, ever. And yes, I'm aware that there are many lower players in SAG, background players and what not which is just evidence on how they treat their own. A prop master told me once, "You know why actors act? - because they can't do anything else."
  8. Atlas/Seaboard never got the love it deserved. The Brute, Tiger-Man, The Destructor, Phoenix, Morlock 2001, The Scorpion and a really great artist/writer contracts: they owned the characters they created. These titles are cinema ready. We need an Atlas/Seaboard Cinematic Universe!
  9. Batmanis#1 finally sold his Tec comics, donated the money to an animal rescue as he said he was going to do. He went to visit the rescue and the animals attacked and killed him
  10. it's a joke. I bought 50 of them upon release falling for the hype (hey I was 12 or so) I bagged and boarded them all, making notations about some sort of color/printing errors on each copy.
  11. Umm, my friend paid $20 each for them. Do you see them selling for over 20$?
  12. Look, I’m sure your friend is a wonderful person but that work is not incredible, it’s insufferable
  13. the super-8 family vacation-at-the-beach film with Godzilla beginning to come out of the water in the distance is cool
  14. Damn dude, sounds like you've done this before. Thanks!
  15. Umm..I've got a friend that has 50 of them, you know, just asking for him
  16. Same here. It's very bad. I'm watching people lose their homes, health insurance for themselves and their children. I'm ok, but for a lot IATSE folks I know, it's utterly devastating.
  17. I'm sorry. I've been to cons you have been at. You are one of the most pleasant and kind to speak with. I'll keep an eye out.
