  2. Thank you again everyone, I hope you have enjoyed this! I’ll do one more small round of Joe’s books tomorrow night, with a little more diversity and a little more grade range as not all were received as comps. Apologies again on the Marines in Battle #18, especially to Mark @mstrange If anyone would like to take that book at its new, revised price of $100, please pay that one via PayPal to Jimbo to help JimJum12’s stroke recovery fund and I’ll toss it on your stack and eat your shipping for your pile.
  3. Ok gang, that is a wrap on the Joe Sinnott personal comp copies that were planned for this thread. Tomorrow night will be the last night of additions, with probably fewer than 10 total books. All will be Joe Sinnott signed personal copies, but not all will be comps — we have two westerns and two pch that the family believes were acquired as back issues as the grades are on the lower end of the range seen here at best. I’ll also look at my stack of keepers from the comp books and make a couple cuts from those on the bubble. There’s a couple pre-code Battle issues I may let go.
  4. SOLD! Marines in Battle #20 in FN/FN+ range. No comps out there. A lone 4.0 on census. $250
  5. Updated; thanks again Andy and apologies to all, especially Mark. Mark, feel free to hide the outdated take.
  6. Thank you Andy! I completely forgot that from when I shot, which is when it happened. Mark has passed; I will revise grade down to VG range and price down to $100.
  7. Marines in Battle #19 in VF or better. Six on census, 8.5 is tops. No comps out there. Pretty book, deep colors. $400
  8. Marines in Battle #18. They had it at FN+. I think it’s a very attractive apparent FN but that said, cover detached during photo session so it’s a technical VG at best though it looks better. It’s a census ghost around here. HA sold a Voldy 5.5 in 2021 for $252. $100 to JimJum12’s stroke recovery fund via PayPal and receive this book tossed on your stack and free shipping for your entire pile.
  9. SOLD! Marines in Battle #17 in VFNM. No comps, two on census. 8.5 at the top. $400
  10. SOLD! Marines in Battle #9 in VF range, leaning the better side. Though tanning a little more apparent with that white cover. A 5.5 in 2021 sold for $89 on HA. Two on census, 6.5 is tops. $300
  11. SOLD! Marines in Battle #8 — they went FVF here too, but here I’d disagree the other way and say VF-. No comps, three on census, 9.0 tops it. $300
  12. Marines in Battle #7 in FVF. A 5.5 went $156 in 2021 on HA. Census has two; 8.5 is tops. $250
  13. Ok, seven issues of Marines in Battle will take us through the night’s action…
  14. I’ve refreshed two devices and time stamps say @gunsmokin by a hair over @buttock. Congrats Jim; sorry Dan! Marines in Action #13 goes to Gunsmokin!
  15. SOLD! Marines in Action #13 with VFNM structure, light cover tanning inside. Two on census, 7.5 at tops. This one should smoke a 7.5. No comps to be found. $400
  16. Slight price and grade drop just now FYI on Marines in Action #7 as I feel the subtle flaws are not that well-captured in the pics despite my efforts.
  17. Marines in Action #7 in VF range. I’m going to disagree with their grade here and say it’s more VF- structure with even tanning inside covers (lightly creamy). No comps, two on census. 6.0 is tops. $250
  18. SOLD! Marines at War #7 in VG/FN. Brought down to that neighborhood by that lower right long color-breaking crease. Four on census, top not that much better at 7.5. $60
