  1. Andrea Divito is accepting commissions. Published at both Marvel and Crossgen, he has tackled some of their biggest characters! Here are the pencils to his Thing series as well as the roughs and final inked piece for a poker game that I asked him to do for me. He is charging $350 for single figure with background. $500 for 2 figures with backgrounds, inked. $500 for 2 figures with backgrounds, pencilled. He prefers not to clean up his pencilled work, but many prefer pencils only. $500 for either option and you can own a cool piece by the man. His current rates are a steal and opportunities to get pieces from him are scarce, because he lives in Italy and doesn't get over to the United States. I've included the pencils from his Thing #1 cover, as well as the roughs and inked finished commission that I purchased from him. Please let me know if you have interest in getting something from him.
  2. New original Eddy Barrows artwork just posted..... This is the artwork for the cover of upcoming Detective Comics #965, featuring the return of Tim Drake to the BATMAN Universe and is a pretty explosive issue. It will involve a battle that you didn't see coming! Not only a powerful pice of art, but a tribute to the famous George Perez cover. Eddy's use of Comic markers in his comic art has raised the bar for the medium. Check it out! http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1421054 Additional art from this issue can't be shared, until the book is released in 2 weeks... so it is coming soon.
  3. Ya got 'em? Know where some are? Drop me a line. Any responses (having to do with this subject) are appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Do you have any or know where a page is? Please let me know.

  7. I've been fortunate in becoming friends with a solid bunch of collectors over the years. If I am curious about "value", whether it is scoping out a piece to make an offer or in looking at my own stuff, I'll reach out to a handful of them to bend their ear. While there may be some solid people who act as dealers, they may have a horse in the race, so to speak.
  8. Sale is coming to an end, if you haven't done so already, take a look!! Many pages are $42-100 and most are 40% off of the original price. Covers and Detective artwork are 20% off!
  9. Eddy is having a huge sale! He is dropping prices on his artwork for a temporary time only. All Covers 20% off. Detective, Suicide Squad and Nightwing pages 20% off. All other books 40% off. All prices listed on art will be reduced by the percentage that applies with the sale, so you can do the math and see the deals going on here. Layouts are not included in the sale. We are raising funds for travel and personal needs. Once the goal has been met, the sale is over, so start browsing! http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=109737
  10. Preferences run the gambit and for every naysayer of an artist, there is someone who will sing his or her praises. I grew up with Andru as my Spidey guy and adore his work on that character. That said, I dug McFarlane's Spidey as it was being published and, love him or hate him, he revolutionized the manner in which webswinging was portrayed. It had NEVER been as dynamic or agile before his run. Many of the greats take liberties with anatomy and physics in order to create a more dynamic image. It happens often, with great results. The key for me, it the artist learning the rules, before breaking them. As a kid, I found Kirby's stuff to be awful..... didn't appreciate his stuff until years later.
  11. Twanj, it seems like this would be a question appropriate to ask him.
  12. Garcia-Lopez and early DC Comics Presents leaves us with a fun Superman/Flash race and some great, trippy visuals!! http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=669110
  13. Could I be ok with parting with most of the collection? Sure. Not sure that I could easily whittle it down to a single piece.
  14. There isn't a single piece that I'd trade my entire collection for. The two that Id' toss much of it at for would be: Amazing Spider-Man #170 cover Marvel Team-Up #53 cover
  15. looks like a John Vuscema to me A few curly kneecaps and we could almost be in Fred Hembeck territory . . . Terry, you've just provided me with my favorite online response in recent memory. Happy New Year!
  16. Pencilled original art will continue to be affected, will not disappear in our lifetime.
  17. Doom is a masterful creation of a villain. http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1342817
  18. The difference always seemed clear to me. Original artwork was hand drawn by the artist and one of a kind. Transparencies are copies of original workwork. Whether there are only individual copies or (as appears clear on ebay) hundreds with more printed regularly, they are copies.
  19. I am selling original artwork for Eddy Barrows. Recently, uploaded a huge amount of art from Teen Titan, JLA, E2, Martian Manhunter, Superman, Nightwing, and recent art from Detective Comics, featuring Batman. Covers, splashes, panel pages and layouts are available! http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=109737
