  1. Looks like the verdict is in...no one cares who drew the cover, she's a classic.
  2. Classic Bandage Cover to Classic Bondage Cover
  3. That's odd, but the graders notes are listed on the HA listing for the item, which look accurate as far as what's visible in the scans. CGC Grader Notes: small bindary tear top of spine small crease left top of back cover tear with crease top of front cover very light staple rust
  4. Who knows, it could be down to the last 2 bidders already. What a great overall auction, and you have to wonder how the other potential million dollar books go, and if they’re pulled up to any degree by the action 1. The ToS 39 seems sure to blow past a million, but what about the Sensation 1 9.6, that I think went for -500k before ( pre Covid era), but it’s the least of the 3 Wonder Woman keys imo. if the daredevil 1 9.8 was the only one on census at that grade you might think it could hit a million, but I don’t think 500-600k is out of the realm of possibility. Maybe the most unpredictable book is the tech 27 3.0. With the triple whammy of ugly noticeable shadow, SB pages, and color touch trimming does anyone want it for more than 1 million?
  5. Maybe I’m wrong and this is actually an elegant and skillfully drawn picture, After all the viewer is much more likely to accept that Daredevil is truly blind when they see Electra and her orc like mug.
  6. Are you saying whoever paid $4,300 for this after he "evolved his style quite a bit" didn't get a great deal?
  7. Looks like most of the books I’m tracking have scans up already too. That’s a nice bonus.
  8. Wow, that’s even worse than I’d imagined. Sorry, and hope you’re able to get it all sorted out with them.
  9. Not all the grades are comparable but it if you take the typical expected scaling, its clearly an upward trend. Lots of other such examples, but what's the point. As I said above I bet its not long till people are able to easily analyze this stuff and we start getting data driven market reports.
  10. Hopefully it wont be long before the AI eggheads trying to save and/or take over the world do something more useful like design something to scrape all the data from GPA and give us a good analysis of how the GA comic market is trending. (weird, quoted jimbo quoting me saying 'who knows how it all averages out' but it says that he said it now, hows that for board functionality)
  11. Well, I did say anecdotal. Since 2022 Bakers are up big time, high grade FH is up, GGA/Phantom Ladies are up big, many higher tier horror comics are up.....who knows how it all averages out. I don't follow Teen Humor as a genre closely I'll admit, so this could be my perception, but I think it's been in decline since well before the pandemic and it probably isn't a good gauge by itself of the overall GA market. Back in the Ricksneatstuff days of the CGC marketplace it was pretty hot, and anything perceived as rare would go for bonkers prices. Remember this? I think it was all downhill after. Lots of other examples like Cindy #37 and other books who's prices you can look at to see the sharp decline since before 2020 even. I think you had a handful of collectors propping the genre up and after a few dropped out it never really recovered. With the more limited number of collecto into Teen Humor, those books might be more susceptible to wild price swings, like the ones we've already seen in the not too distant past.
  12. I bought three Promise books, probably overpaid about 30% on two, got a deal on the third. Was so easy to justify at the time though when it was getting funded by stuff like this.... I just can't make myself feel bad about it yet. I effectively traded the below for one of the books and think I made out ok on it. Was a nutty time.
  13. My anecdotal impression is that GA market on the whole has actually maintained or gained in almost all genres even since the 2022 pandemic highs, whereas books from other eras have taken a sharp tumble as you noted. This seems especially true in the genres I monitor closely, romance, Bakers, GGA. Horror and classic covers all around seem to going up still too. The only sharp drops I’ve seen are in the Promise books, and the GA mega keys (action 1 etc) but even then it’s only been around a 15-25% drop on average. So to answer you yes, the Promise book’s tumble does not seem to reflect what’s going on in GA otherwise.
  14. I noticed you conveniently left out mention of Conan the Destroyer...
  15. Forgot about this game for a while but man this trailer for the long overdue expansion has me excited and itching to go back to it once it comes out in June (if it arrives on time).
