  1. it would be nice if the chat could be about the movie. I returned to this thread to see what others have thought about the movie and it was very disappointing to see 6 pages of stuff that turned out to not be about The Marvels. Oh well.
  2. I agree, and the post credit scene is about forming a new team...of who? Does anyone honestly like the current characters? RiRi Williams Cassie Kate Bishop Shuri FalconCap Captain Marvel Ms. Marvel Other Captain Marvel She-Hulk Yelena Etc.
  3. the challenge with rare variants is that no one knows they exist. To drive value you need lots of potential buyers competing for purchase. your book is signed and it was not witness by CGC so to me there is no point in sending it to CGC to be graded as they will treat the signature as a defect. Keep it raw and enjoy it. Thanks for sharing the book, I have never seen it before.
  4. I could see a buyer wanting to own this for the novelty of it, in fact depending on how much it is I would buy it to preserve the mistake since the search of the certification can prove it. Reminds me of the time my Father received a check from a utilities company for 0.01 cent, instead of taking it to the bank to deposit the "windfall" he got it framed. As long as the owner isn't trying to represent a 9.8 book to the buyer I see no harm other than to corporate credibility.
  5. is just another form of book manipulation to chase a blue label and "realize the full potential of the book".
  6. I currently have 3 Hulk 181's but all 3 are CGC encapsulated. It is why i actually like the facsimile editions that are exact replicas of the original including the interior. You could cut the stamp out of a facsimile edition, then you could have a look.....
  7. Then there are those who buy the restored book and further destroy it to chase a blue label number to "realize the full potential of the book".
  8. Generally I think the reason convention exclusives are not worth it is because most people are not aware of the book. Here is a convention exclusive I own that has value. I own the book because I found it for sale at a local comic store, otherwise I had no idea of the existence.
  9. i have heard a rumor that there is a matriarchal society that only communicates via song, they do not understand you unless you are singing and it leads to a large ensemble song and dance event. Is that wacky enough for you?
  10. I bought it off the comic rack when I was a kid and I really liked it up to around the Spider-man crossover and after that it didn't grab me as much. I continued to buy it because I had the first group of books but I stopped before the run concluded.
  11. amazing what happens when the quality of the content is reduced. I can't believe they are going ahead with The Marvels to be honest. DC had the, excuse the word "he whose name is that", balls to axe their Bat-chick film, Disney should do the same with this.
  12. I enjoyed the Matrix scene, but I just *know* Marvel/Disney is going to do a similar scene with the new Avengers line up where they would fight hundreds of Kangs. That cost saving/budget Avengers line up of FalconCap, RiRi Williams Ironheart, Shang-Chi, Cassie "Antman", Shuri Black Panther, Yelena Belova Black Widow and Kate Bishop Hawkeye. And throw in that Spider-Man draw
  13. I am honestly ok with that as I am done with Kang as they have portrayed him. It was a terrible decision to have the Quantumania Kang defeated by ants in this film and who cares that there are hundreds of versions of him because it just becomes this:

I will check it out, thanks!
  16. I wasn't aware it was being offered for free. I hope you are happy with the books when you receive them.
  17. no do not press them especially if you have to pay for the pressing service. You need to wait until you have the books in hand to see what you have, and it is important to know that most of the books from that run are not worth the price of pressing and then encapsulation.
  18. it is very interesting that all these casting changes and announcements, script changes, director changes with this and every other "property" they are developing all culminate in me having no interest. I recommend you all wait until it says "we will pay you to take it"
