  1. Definitely. I am the same as you, don't like it don't hate it, but I definitely recognize the ability. Watched a James Corden video with Lady Gaga called Carpool Karaoke and it was a demonstration of her singing ability.
  2. In addition I hope they have learned you need to put out a very high quality product. Very well written otherwise it will flounder like The Flash. Is the Flash an A-list property?
  3. as it sits I am at 9.2 and I don't think it gets to a 9.4 but it might depending on how well it presses. What did you pay for it? I would think you got decent value for the purchase if you spent around $100 or less. Have a link to the auction? I am curious what quality of pictures were shown.
  4. yes it is a canadian price. Contact CGC and find out what they can do
  5. Sigh, unfortunately you are correct. Marvel will likely push forward whatever product they have and I think they will put out She-Hulk season 2 and likely expect The Marvels to be a resounding worldwide success making the assumption that the same audience that flocked to the Barbie movie will flock to their stuff.
  6. the cgc 8.5 is not trimmed. It just has a cover that has the image further up on the paper. Look at the distance between Magneto's hand and the bottom of the book compared to other copies.
  7. I agree. Perhaps my own fault for knowing nothing about the character but then a well told story should help me get me up to speed instead of confusing me.
  8. Hi, There is a lot that goes into grading a card. To your visual eye you think the cards are mint but then you will need to look at: -edges of the card -surface of the card -corners -centering (needs to be exact) -front and back -time frame to send in a card have it graded and returned to you versus the change in value of the market. There was a very brief period in time where the 199x Impel Marvel cards were worth something, not any more. -value of the graded card by the various companies that grade: which company tends to be the best value? A card fresh out of a pack you just opened may not be a 9.0 and is very likely even lower You have to hit above 9 to make the Marvel cards worth considering and even then they most likely are not worth the risk in paying to get the card graded hoping to hit a 10. If you are truly interested in this industry you could buy a few graded examples of cards (cheap ones) so you can learn what may make a card high enough grade to consider sending in. Here is a link to a sold 1991 Thanos psa 9 graded card as an example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/155706763486?hash=item2440d8a8de:g:MXsAAOSwTHFkzSYf&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0JWD%2Fj95udj9hfh3ivckxbS08bBdxQzn81Nlv3O1fdfCdi8hm5V5wEnFe0uLMJ7oiea%2F6ZKa9RndBVFHK%2BUNQqyDpTjZoNo4iS1SL1JL2C4HMFRSjep964ilKhaa9ksCoS55SBe3QpCP3hJRWfcztud5XFaiiqajtevo7zC9A3sv56XGN1Cy5oiHeo1XFGq22eawxK9dDfpM%2F%2F1Ko8MN0C53gSWX5xPBTsEUJYEcnFT2mXNKWPyQJjBBeHCQnSysyHdlcMUMYvC75Li2XyMpfYs%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR-bPmtnFYg
  9. I started buying comics when I was 5, and began buying comics with my own money earned from a paper route at age 8. Back then it was the book you found and held in your hand. I quit collecting in 1990, but returned in 2004 and at that time you could find books on the internet. I prefer to buy the book in hand, but as I gravitated to the books that are not as easily found sometimes you have to buy online. I am definitely a "thrill of the hunt" type.
  10. so I saw Blue Beetle, I fell asleep before he obtained the scarab. I awoke from my slumber and saw I had missed a bit because he had the scarab at that point but as I really had no idea what was going on I tried to just enjoy it. Overall it was "just there" for me, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone nor do I have any desire to watch it again. If the film is very good: 1. I don't fall asleep viewing it 2. I have an interest in viewing it again and often can watch the film multiple times. Blue Beetle is one -and-done
  11. I give it a 6 out of 10. Not as good as either of the previous films: GoTg 1 = 8/10, GoTG 2= 7/10. GoTG 3 does have quite a bit of the forced humor you mentioned. Example: I saw no reason for the multi-colored space suits it was just a gimmick included in the film for laughs. The High Evolutionary comes across as very "over the top" in my opinion.
  12. my perspective on Rachel Zegler: you would think Disney would actively work on shutting this stuff down yet since it seems to be allowed to continue I assume she is only saying what she has been authorized to say?
  13. no because it no longer fits. You see I have gained a lot of weight since the release of Pulp Fiction and I tried to get my vast bulk into "the suit" several years ago and it ripped beyond repair. Occasionally i go over to the basement to see what remains: the Mask #1 and #2.
  14. further convinces me DC has no clue what they are doing. "He's back!" - Black Adam "He's gone" - Gunn Universe "He's Back" - Blue Beetle
  15. Currently they are not influenced by comics and the writers are told to not read the comics. I think it is a huge mistake to not go with the great stories from the comics after all that is why the Infinity saga was so successful.
  16. I started watching, got about 25 minutes in and started to get sleepy so I turned it off, but I will try again today. Still: it is concerning that it didn't entice me enough to help me stay awake ( like other movies can do )
  17. agreed, I question who the film is made for, as I don't know anyone who is interested in seeing it. Anyone in this forum want to see it?
  18. I was talking about Thor Love and Thunder being worse than Antman Quantumania. I have not watched Secret Invasion (yet) but the consensus is the tv show under delivered.
  19. #TheMarvels' "biggest difference from the other MCU movies to date is that it’s really wacky, and silly," says director Nia DaCosta! I already knew, but thank you Nia DaCosta for confirming that I don't need to see The Marvels. For comparison: I HATED Thor Love and Thunder, another movie that was "really wacky, and silly"
  20. Neither chose to do anything because they saw all the way to the end result where things were restored so they did not need to intervene?
  21. LOL I could replace him. So could you. Anyone that has read comics over the last 50 years that has an understanding of the characters of Marvel could do it far better in my opinion. What were the most successful movies they have made? Answer: the ones where the characters stayed true to the most well known versions of themselves and told great stories involving them.
  22. and I hope you never waste your time and watch it: complete she ite. It is far worse than Ant-Man 3.
  23. I enjoyed reading both Rom and Micronauts, and in both cases until about issue 25. After that both series fell off for me. I am hoping they release them as trades as generally I don't like the size of the omnibus
