Thanks, it's ok. For a 5.0 I think. No stains, mainly various creases here and there. I think the front cover crease knocked it down a full grade. I guess Mr Fantucchio read it a few times before he stored it. Most of his books are at least 9.0's. In person it's pretty white, I'd say a 7or 8 out of 10 , 10 being snow white. X-Men one is a book best seen in person before getting I'm sure you'd agree.. You're 7.0 looks pretty darn white. Little whiter than the 6.0 which ain't bad too shabby either. Now that's a good attitude I was just messing about the printings in reference to the whole Sup 1 thing we just went through but in reality you never know I suppose. Both look real nice for their grades so yeah being picky is worth the wait. I posted mine a few pages back but here it is again. I couldn't resist having a pedigree so I got it and had it reholdered in gold. Weird though because the gold label makes the white on the cover look a little goldish on the scan even though it's actually quite white . Like it's reflecting on it or something.

Very nice. My boxes are lime and I prefer that but honestly I never thought about it until you said something. It doesn't seem to affect the other colors right? Maybe one of the greens is actually a 1st print.........no no just joking , just joking.

That and I see 4 sales (not counting CLink) since 2017 and 3 of them were the same purple 1.0 . Six Blue labels with 6.0 being 2nd highest. Scarce alright.

I thought those 3 mini's 14-16 were Joe Simon covers. #15 possibly Kirby. Now I look and they're Al Avison covers according to the CGC label. Very similar colors and style to the Simon and Kirby covers that followed in the series Simon gets cover credits for Pocket Comics 1 and 2 which came out a right before Speed 14. I wonder if CGC got any of that wrong. Maybe some or all of the Pocket's are actually Avison covers or Some of the Speed 14-16's are Simon covers . Probably not I'm sure, they're just so similar.

Sunday night auction. Yikes.

I had multiple tabs open on books I was considering placing bids to see what the resto was on each because they varied a lot. Some I had memorized. And I agree about not showing price with BP but at 25% they were probably ashamed to show it. Half kidding about that last part. I like the auctioneer. He seemed relaxed and it went at a perfect pace I think. An even pace at least.

And even a cameo appearance L.B. Cole . And it went pretty high. Pretty high? Get it?

Nice, I wish I had a grabbed at least one each of the New Comics and More Funs. I thought about you when the Detective 13 came up. C-1 with no color touch. I guess that's why it went higher than most of the restored Tecs. Fun little auction that was.

I doubt anyone here bid that high on the Tec 1. The Detective's 3 and 4 I think went low. #4 6.0 A-2 was a great price and I wished I'd have clicked at least 2 or 3 more times on it. One highly intelligent person gave issue 3 6.0 A-3 the one and only bid it needed to bring home. After Detective 4 bidding on the rest of the Detectives seemed to really picked up. Quite a few of the early More Funs and New Comics sold kind of low also. Low grade, restored, but scarce books. I wasn't going to post this at least until I got it but here it is. Hooray for me. I blacked out the price so people in the future can't see it. Not you guys.

Hey, Oh yeah I totally understand that's where szav is coming from. Everyone understands.. And it probably will hit around 200k. Who knows really. All depends on two things I guess, personal wealth and vanity. Like that guy who has an amp that goes up to 11. It's very special.

Are you joking? I mean that sincerly. 9.8's are selling for between 22 and 30k. It'll probably top 100k but I'd be real surprised if it topped 200.

A 9.9 from 1975? When was the last time a GA book was graded a 9.9? Or the last time before that? I think that would be newsworthy.

I ask because I just looked up about 30 sales of MC 1 on Heritage and only saw 2 October issues. based on that can it really be said the there is no difference in "market price" between the two? Not than anyone has said that there would be. Kind of like an Insufficient Data situation. According to these folks the print run difference is 80,000 Oct's and 800,000 Nov's. Pretty huge difference. https://www.comics.org/issue/1027902/ Only reason I'm bringing it up is because they say the print runs for Sup 1 were 500,00, 250,000, 150,00. Assuming only the first run has the June 2nd ad that's pretty close to equal amounts of each two versions. https://www.comics.org/issue/470/ I kind of lost my point now but regarding how this will play out over time I'm pretty much thinking like jimbo again about this. I'd take a lower graded June 2nd copy over a higher graded Now On Sale. Not a 4.0 opposed to an 8.5 but close. And I don't think many people fortunate enough to have a copy are going to get their book reholdered if and when they sell it, other than some who know they have a June 2nd copy. So who knows how it will go from here. You're probably right, highest grade will be what matters most to most people.

Just to be clear do the October copies of MC 1 actually say Oct. on the top right? To be honest I never paid much attention but now that I look all I see is Nov. written on every copy I just looked up. Do they all say Nov? And if so how can you tell the difference, especially if it's encapsulated?

Hey there, 20k+? Thanks but it seems that Blue label 5.0's are going for nearly 20 and Blue 6.0's about 20 to 25k. I appreciate your positive vibes though. .

Normally I would never put forth such a query but the title does say actual pricing. So how much would my 6.0 OW/W B-3 go for these days? I really have no idea. Maybe put it on e bay for 20,000 or best offer.

You guys have a zillion times more experience in all this than me but I'm leaning toward Mr. M on this one. People are really gonna want that June 2nd version now. And for all the copies that come up for grabs from this day on that don't say which version it is in the notes, well the auction houses are going to be getting a lot of phone calls I believe. "Which version is it?". "WE DON"t KNOW!!!!" Maybe we all should have left this alone. Sometimes not knowing is betta.

I'm a peaceable chap but we brought them a problem and they came up with a solution in like a day. They'll put it in the notes from now on. Problem solved. Of course to do this they'll have to look inside the book which means if it's in a holder they gotta crack it. If every owner sent their copy in for a reholder CGC would make 8,900 minus the cost of the holder and paying employees to do the work. What more would you expect them to do?

I wonder if anyone who owns a graded copy and doesn't know which ad it has will be reaching for a butter knife and scissors after reading all this. I think I wouldn't be able to resist.
