  1. Hey everyone. If anyone here uses gocollect here is my problem. Whenever I try to open a cover gallery on the site I get an error - 404 Not Found. I can search for any single book and find the info on it but when I click to open a cover gallery for a series I get the error page. Anyone else having this same problem? I tried different browsers and same thing. For example this is Batman 1. https://gocollect.com/app/comic/batman-1 The individual book page opens fine for me. But if I click on the word Batman above the picture of the book and it should open the entire cover gallery. I was hoping a few of you could try it to see if you get the same error page when clicking on the word Batman . I have a like 250 cover galleries in my bookmarks all by order of date released and now they are useless. Thanks
  2. All comics are going to deteriorate inside the holder over time. Brittle ones just have a nice headstart. A really smart boardie here taught me that the most important thing is to avoid big changes in humidity and temperature. Buy a thermometer/barometer and try to avoid large fluctuations in temp/humidty where you store your books.
  3. From what I saw other than the "grail" type books most continued to go down in price, at least Silver and early Bronze. I tune out at around 1971.
  4. Edit- I think the 5.5 will go before the 4.5. So, nevermind.
  5. Sure me too. This book looks like it didn't need any cleaning I guess was my point. It's like a moderate that has a lot of little restorations , I best it wasn't a bad looking book before it got worked on.
  6. Oh man that is sad to see. I actually thought it would hit 50,000. The restoration looks good from the notes and a lot of it is on the back cover. No cleaning or lightening. Not much color touch or any work on the cover other than the spine. Looks like it could be 6.0 to me. The perfect copy for someone who want's a real pretty example and doesn't want to spend a half million dollars. From the bid history it looks like the high bidder put an insurance bid on top of their already high bid of 46,000, just speculating but if that was me I would have bumped my insurance bid to put it just over 50.
  7. Who rose? Wait, I just looked. Ooh so close. I was rooting for X-Men because I don't have an ASM1
  8. Bat 25? I like it but everytime I see it I think of Johnny Cash. That's not even a joke, I really do. Love is a burnin thing. Yep, a 4.5 and 5.5. You're right they really shouldn't do that. Also the 4.5 SB will probably go before the 5.5 C/OW which will hurt the 4.5 even more I believe. If it was to go after the 5.5 it probably would get at least a few bids from the underbidders of the 5.5. I mean why go for a SB when a Cream is coming up in like 10 seconds.
  9. I've lowered the price to 3,600 check or money order payment.
  10. Hey C how ya been? Ah bummer. You have been outbid on this item, some of the saddest words ever put in print. Seriously I wish you had gotten it. Nice 3.
  11. Hey, for some reason I can't load that site. I read it here https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=1088 Probably just a cool idea for a cover that L.B. thought up. Puppets on a string.
  12. So what's the symbolism on Suspense 7? On a lot of his stuff the theme is greed, temptation or time to pay the piper for you gluttonous, debaucherous ways type stuff. Here we have Mr. Nobody operating three marionettes, a killer, a hot blonde perhaps in a ballerina suit running from the killer, and a skeleton playing a violin. Any thoughts? Not my book of course.
  13. Me too, in that order basically. Great looking Detective 13. Wow.
  14. I saw that. Hard to have faith when you see stuff like this. No offense intended to cgc but more than ever I am looking at the book more than the grade these days.
  15. I would just forget about e bay. They are going to do what they wan't no matter what. And the governments are going to take everything they can no matter what. All the tax on internet sales now has got to be an astroniminal amount of money. But they gotta pay the central bankers back the interest for the trillions in dollars loaned to them to finance the corona virus spending. That money had to come from somewhere, now the debt is due. After all they have nukes. Sorry to say but the only way to avoid it is don't do business with them.
  16. Me too. 165 of them. It's a really good one. Amazing Man.......are some of the books offered. And I can see about 80% of the pics now.
  17. I'm sure there is a very good reason, but the Suspense is killing me.
  18. Oh I didn't know this was you. At least who I now think you are. Yeah those lists he makes are real neat.
  19. Thanks for this. I looked all over for the article but couldn't find it, even on the HA site. Did he make these kind of lists for other publishers also?
  20. Hey , Well one of the books I'm watching showed up today so that's a step forward. I called them a few days ago to ask them about a book I'm interested in but the scan that was up looked different from the last time they sold the same book, and she spoke to the scanning dept and said they are taking care of business and working overtime.
