  1. So you must have grown up in France, as I. I own a large collection of those pocket B&W books (Eclipso, Etranges Aventures...) as well as Fantask, Strange and Marvel
  2. Great post, Bullmark ! Those books are the reason why I collect comics. I got to know about superheroes through them in the early 80's. Most of the painted cover are due to artist Jean Frisano.
  3. Thanks a lot for your opinion on that question. From the grader's notes, I assume the staple is still attached to the back. If it wasn't, I think that would be mentioned. The label doesn't mention anything. Both staples are right on the spine (they don't show on the front cover nor on the back cover) so it's hard to tell wether this was a bindery in origin or not. Any opinions from other board members ?
  4. It must have a heavy hidden flaw.. Grader's notes, anyone ?
  5. Detached staple : Max grade for a Blue Label ? Hi, I'm wondering whether CGC is less forgiving on the issue of detached staple(s) than CBCS. In your opinion, what maximum grade could a comic book get from CGC if it's a blue label (not a green one) and if it has a detached staple ? I know a book from CBCS that got an unrestored 7.0 while the grader's notes mention : " front cover detached top staple" Thanks,
