  1. Humidity chambers are not always necessary and require a much longer and more specific process. Consult the presser and see what they think, though for a $50 book, it’s a more limited upside going that route
  2. I’m with you Joey, care to take a guess at grade if a proper press is applied?
  3. Hmm yah, I will have to find a really experienced guy for this one
  4. Well yah James, I understand what pressing does an I’m aware that it won’t magically mend a color break. I am wondering what it would grade if it were to be pressed flat with the colour break there, plus the other defects.
  5. Yah it already shows color breaks there, are you saying the breaking might become worse if pressed?
  6. I’ve spoken to some pressers and they say it shouldn’t be a problem to flatten it out. Assuming it does flatten out, would that improve your estimate?
  7. What do you guys think this will grade after a press and clean?thank you
  8. Yah, I will ask to return it. I'm just interested in seeing if people had experience with something like this and if anyone has gone through with restoration removal on it and what the outcome was.
  9. Hi all, I recently purchased this comic and noticed that some areas along the spine appear to have more gloss than the cover. It seems to me like someone used some sort of liquid adhesive on areas along the spine. I have included some pictures. Has anyone had something like this sent for restoration removal? Can it be removed in any manner that limits the damage to the book, or is this comic a goner?
  10. X-men 112 missing both staples, with staple holes 1.5 inches from spine Has anyone seen this manufacturing defect before? No staple holes in the spine and holes without staples about 1.5 inches away from spine. Holes extend to the inside of the comic into the first page of the middle wrap. Any ideas what this does to grade? (the other two holes are around wolverine's shoulder)
