Half Price Books haul; nothing more than $2.

Finishing up on my comic/hobby room. Still may tweak somethings and all my omni's/TPB and statues are downstairs in the finished basement.

Back in the early 90's one of the local malls would have a collectibles show around it. Booths here and there, not only comics but sports cards, old toys etc. I found a beat-up but nice X-men #4 for $60 which I think now would have graded a 5-6. Begged my parents for a few more bucks so I could get it. They finally relented and gave me the last $10-15 that I needed. It was my prized possession. But, being 14-15 at the time I lost my interest in comics and time went on. Fast forward to about 5-6 years ago when I start getting back into comics and I start wondering where that #4 has gone. Ask my parents where my old comics have gone and to my surprise they said that they're in a storage unit. I giddily go with my father to the unit and find the two short boxes I kept my comics in. Well, I look and look and it's not in there. To this day I cannot remember if I sold them to the same collectible store that I sold my old Star Wars figures to or what the heck happened to it. I still have the rest of the books that were in those boxes...bunch of 93-94 Superman comics...I need to find a way to go back in time and kick my own @ss.

Hello... Just wonder where some of the better places to go hunting in Charleston are? Going on a family vacay and amongst the beaches and sight seeing I want to hit up a few places.

Happy to add this to the collection. Just starting to get into the Golden Age stuff (well, minus the Ducks book I love). I really think it looks pretty good for it's condition.

Was able to grab a "comic rack" though Amazon. Obviously not an actual one but good enough until I am able to grab the real thing. Does anybody have a PDF or something with the HEY KIDS COMICS that I can print off onto some heavy paper stock that I can use as I sign?

Greetings, I am looking for some Bill Amend Fox Trot Strips, particularly ones that deal with Peter talking about Springsteen. Huge fan of both Fox Trot and Springsteen and would love to get an original strip. Also looking for any Character sketches of Fox Trot characters. Everyone loves covers, those bright and eye-popping pieces of paper which lured us impressionable youth into our great hobby. But, which one series has the best overall collection of covers? For me one of the top ones is series 2 of Ghost Rider, just tons of great covers: So, let us know your opinion and show us some examples!

After my trip to MegaCon this past weekend and picking up a few good ones, I still have some $ to spend. Looking at picking up one more book from this list. These are ones I've been wanting for some time and want to grab one. While it's more for my PC I do want a nice investment book as well. Here goes: Batman 171 Ungraded, two options a VG but with a detached page for $300 or a 1.5ish for $270 Amazing Spiderman #361 2nd Print CGC 9.4 for $115 X-Men Annual #14 CGC 9.4 for $92.00 (purchased UXM 266 this past weekend) Batman Beyond #1 Promo two options here as well. CGC Green Label (store stamp) for $150.00 or an ungraded 9.0ish for $110 Lois Lane #70 This one also has two options an ungraded in a 3.0ish for $195.00 or a CGC 2.5 for $225 Young Avengers #1 CGC 9.0 for $150.00 As always, I'm very humbled with your help. And while I've been at this for awhile; I'm pretty new to really looking at getting investment type books.

Howdy all, Going to my first con tomorrow 9/24 and I have about $500 to spend. Looking to grab a key. What are some keys out there in that range that I can look for? Few pieces of info; I tend to collect more DC than Marvel, though I am a big Hulk/She Hulk fan with Spider-Man being up there as well. DC, big fan of everything especially Sups/Bats. I do collect some indy's. Open to all ages though my collection is mainly Silver-Copper. And I tend to be a cover collector as well with an emphasis on Cheesecake/Bad Girl art (not dirty, but think Betty/Veronica to Adam Hughes type covers). Hope it helps, I tend to just wonder and not focus so I'm just trying to narrow my search.
