Jack Kirby Signatures Verification Help !
Gumba213 replied to Gumba213's topic in The Signature Room
Thanks for the heads up Mr Zipper, I am not a professional signature authenticator, so I cannot say for sure, and appreciate your input. Although one with Best Wishes does appear to have these additional strokes you're talking about, yet you think it's authentic. Seems like it's a hit or miss when it comes to the more sharp or soft "J". Anyhow thanks again! I bought 9 books thinking they were authentic, I am selling the one lowest graded copy FF 72 on ebay now to recoup the costs of the collection I bought. There's a full disclaimer in the description, I'm not looking to rip anyone off, or sell fakes if that's what you're implying. Buy at your own risk, as I did a week ago. If I was 100% sure it was a fake I would not be selling it. -
Jack Kirby Signatures Verification Help !
Gumba213 replied to Gumba213's topic in The Signature Room
Went back to the shop today to go through more books and found 5 more signatures. These all appear to be from the same collection, many have sub-creases and are aged about the same way -
Hey guys, came across a collection recently and found a handful of Jack Kirby signatures, but wasn't sure if they were legitimate. The guy I bought them from said they were originally from a granddaughter of Kirby, but who really knows. Anyhow, take a look and let me know what you think!

Thanks for all the info guys, really appreciate your help with this. I did look over the book last night and it's in excellent condition. No creasing what-so-ever, no stains, tears or other major issues. There are few spine ticks/dents around the staple areas that knock the book down a few grades, but I'm fairly confident it would grade around a VF/NM (9.0) condition as it sits. Right now I am open to offers from anyone who might be interested. Thanks.

Eerie 1 Authentication Help Needed Hey guys, need some help Picked up a copy of Eerie 1 today, seller claims it original but I need help authenticating it. I've read mixed ways on how to identify it, and then there's talk about a second print, and so I've tried my best at taking some pics of the book with hopes you guys can help. Measurements are 5 1/4" by 7 1/4" This issue appears to have the blue marked staples, and page 18 the guys head is clearly visible, which by some books lables this a 2nd print. Can anyone shed some light on what I just purchased and if it's worth anything. Thanks
