  1. Here is mine, recently had to crack it to get the signatures but it kept its grade.
  2. It will be regraded because the only way to get the second signature would be to have the slab cracked and that would result in a new grade. I’m about to do almost the same thing but mine is slabbed but not signed. I’m going to have it cracked and then signed but ill have to go through the grading process again. Remember, by cracking the slab, you take the risk of a lower grade. You’ll need to research if it is worth the risk.
  3. I'm also in my 50's and although I've been collecting for a while, I never took them serious until lately. First, I sorted and inventoried every comic I had (about 1100). I used an app on my phone called CLZ Comics, it's simple to use and pretty accurate but doesn't do a very good job with variants. Then, I did some searching on "most valuable", "sought after" comics and "key issues" in a run. I then took the most valued books and paid to have them graded (11 books). Some of mine are 9.8's to 6.0's but having them sealed and graded, keeps them forever. I plan on doing another run later but that first run cost about $350 (grading and shipping) but I feel it was well worth it. This is just from my own experience and worked for me, good luck.
  4. I am planning on going to the Fan Expo in Dallas in May. I have 3, already Universal graded comics that I want to have Jim Lee sign. I've paid for the Jim Lee CGC Experience that gets me 3 items signed with CGC witness (which I will get signature graded). Question: Since the 3 items are already universal graded (2 at 9.9 and 1 at 9.8). Will the CGC witness crack the slabs for me during the witnessing of the signature? And, if they actually do the cracking and witnessing, will I have to have it regraded or will it just be resealed??? I know i'm taking a risk is lowering my grade but I feel the signature on these specific comics (Batman: Damned variant #1 and #2 (both 9.9), and Batman #608 2nd Print, Manufacture Error (9.8)) is more important (IMO). Thanks

    Book Error

If the label is actually wrong, you should be able to ship it back to CGC for correction and from I understand, there is no charge to correct the label. I'm sure that you would have to provide evidence as to what's wrong with the label. Getting it corrected, through CGC, will maintain it's current grade (as long as the case has not been compromised).
