  1. I ordered and received artwork about a month ago from them. I've ordered from them regularly and have had no issues, and I'm an international customer.

Regarding their radio silence during cons: This I haven't experienced from Cadence but I have from other reps.

Whatever's happened, I doubt it's due to their timeliness (or lack of) in shipping artwork, this seems way more serious.

Lots of younger people don’t have a lot of spare cash. So, instead of buying “things”, they buy experiences. My oldest likes to travel, and has made it pretty clear he has no interest in collectibles.

Buying 'experiences' isn't anything new. Travel became a fav pastime for the young ever since the advent of low cost air travel. We're talking 20+ years now. Individuals really need that 'collecting gene' to even remotely be into collectibles. No one in my other half's family have it and they're all considerably older than I am.

What's even more depressing is that whenever I go to a western comic mart (a place where one can buy Marvel or DC back issues) the average ages looks to be about 60. The younger generation seems not to be interested. Comic reading,  and by extension,  Original Comic art collecting,  is an aging hobby.

Exactly. There are plenty of new characters and new stories. But their creator do not take them to Marvel and DC, who expect to own the work. The viability of the indie market is a result of distribution shifting from newsstands to local comics stores. Name all the important characters (totally new, not Miles Morales new) that debuted in a Marvel or DC comic in the last 30 years. Not Harley Quinn; she started in the Batman cartoon.

Not trying to prove you wrong as there's definitely an element of truth to what you're saying. Yet. there's been a bunch of new characters in the previous Batman run (2020): Punchline, Ghost-Maker, Clownhunter, and Miracle Molly to name a few. 3 of these have had their own limited series so I would decline to label them as 'not important'

Marvel definitely has had less yet they seem to be counteracting with a new character named 'Hallow's Eve' that they seem to be pushing.

I take it you don't read modern comics?

I know people who've bought and sold them. From what I've seen, SSB pages have a floor around $25-$30k right now. Maybe $15-20k for the absolute worst pages. Felix sold the better pages for $3-4k originally.

    I've personally sold 4 non-SSB Tradd pages and made 3x, 6x, 8x, and 10x.

I've bought a Tradd Moore Ghost Rider Page at auction. Nice page, with a great example of Tradd's illusrative style, but no Ghost Rider (in person).

I bought it for 10x what Felix sold it for. I intend to hold onto it I'm yet pretty confident I can still make a profit if I decide to sell.

Peach art is pretty and there are a lot of her fans out there, but I cannot see that cover ever making a profit when it gets resold (and it sure will get resold one of these days, when the owner moves on to other art he likes more). The new owner may have to let it grow into its value over a long period of time, I believe.

I'd imagine the new owner will hold onto it for a while after paying that much for it (or at least....they should!)

  6. I actually just contacted the artist directly and they responded in a timely manner.

Inky Knuckles has a great roster of artists. I really hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot with the way they handle inquires.

Is it just one artists you're asking about or multple?  It could be that the artist is in the process of changing reps so they're choosing to not reply rather than reveal the state of change.

Multiple artists, and I get the same treatment.

Okay, looks like it's not just my experience! Not sure whether to be happy or sad about that! (shrug)

  8. I've bought from Inky Knuckles before, and the transaction/delivery proceeded smoothly with no issues....

BUT, I've also inquired about art from his artists that isn't on his site and have straight up received no response, even after a nudge nudge email to say I'm waiting for a response. This has happened a few times now which leads me to believe that maybe no one is monitoring the inquiry emails or perhaps the lack of response *is* the response (to mean, sorry but no). Has anyone else had any luck with inquiries with Inky Knuckles?

It's been my experience in other hobbies that the whole "fairness" of endeavors like this are not actually fair at all. Fairness is relative, and in some cases an illusion. Someone - whether it's 100 people or 2 people - always gets shut out.

Based on my experiences in the past, the minute someone describes their marketing tactic as "fair", I walk away from the offering - I can live with the randomness of being lucky to come across something, rather than waiting in line hoping for a shot.

True, no offering is ever truly 100% 'fair'. Someone will always have an edge over others. But any service stating as such is at least my making an effort to reduce the scalpers. You'll have more of a chance than if they weren't.

I actually find their site easy to navigate. HA is more complicated to me, too many options/buttons/displays….

This is absolutely true, but doesn't mean the CLink site is good. More like, Heritage is bad yet CLink is...less bad?!?

Through experience, I kinda know where to go to get what I need on the CLink site now. Though still not sure if it's the best method of doing it. When I first started on CLink I had no clue of where to go or what do to. The site is really not intuitive. Not great for any new user frankly.

I mean I know they are not part of comicarttracker results because they blocked them. That can't help.

    Whaaat! Why?!

Bill from CAF also says they never provide any sales data or something. I guess they like being shrouded in mystery!

I don’t get it. Is this post a joke? :baiting:

The point is, if you need to explain a joke, then it's a pretty bad joke.

Great that you got a laugh out of it, but yes - with no context, what is anyone supposed to think? Even after your explanation....I'm not sure I'm buying your 'it's just a prank bro' post.

This guy gets the joke. It’s funny to me that people in this thread actually took Dinesh seriously. Lighten up friends. This was about having some fun in the hobby. We don’t need to take everything so serisously. We aren’t saving lives, we are collecting funny book art. This is a fun weekend we can all enjoy and laugh together!

I also want to add in, the "negative" comments are just playful banter, its just a reference to the thread a member called Race made once on how he doesn't like the Dueling Dealers show and it's humor.

Not sure about that. Bill Cox has displayed negative sentiments about this forum before Race made that post...

The general feeling I get is that Bill doesn't really like it here. I'm sure he described it as 'toxic' once
