  1. I love this one and it got my vote. The perspective, the MOON, the MANDALS! I love the TTLR run, but how some of them got in over this one I dunno.
  2. I wanna say Cap... but Batman did have a gun for a bit too...
  3. Power 2 @ $610 not bad for a 2.5. Spook 26 @ $562 sounds about right. Holiday 5 @ $455 is pretty darn good for an ungraded 4.0! I was happy to see that! 4Most v8#5 - $810!!! Holy shnikies! I did NOT see that coming! Ungraded, pretty well creased up TRC, and an often overlooked adventure title. The only think I can think of is that there's only 1 on the census in 4.0. It's a great cover, but that's one heck of a result! I didn't have my 4Most issues pegged to be in my next submission, but I may have to rethink that...
  4. That's fair. I just think because the Hobgoblin story was going on since #238 and ran through #289 that his 1st app may be a well-known # to go off of, and #252 was in the middle of that. #229 was 6/82, and #252 was 5/84 if it sways opinions.
  5. Then I have 2 more thanks to @wasonff! First up, 1st Spot! Next up, an UPGRADE! I still (for the moment) have my brown label 9.4 but now I have a proper copy for my 9.8 run - Spidey / Wolvie #1:
  6. OK.... so I had mentioned that I was going to post another book (took me a minute to get it released to put into my registry set) but I wasn't 100% sure where to post it and if the above ASM #222 was in the right forum. I also posted #222 in the bronze forum and it seemed to get an ok. In the end (argue with me if you like, I'm open to ideas!) I decided that the line between ASM bronze and copper was #229. That issue starts the Roger Stern era, who did the Black Cat story a few issues prior to that, but then goes on a run for a few years. Also the Spidey logo in the upper right changes. It's not a big thing, but it helped me make a decision. In any case, here's another pickup, #235:
  7. @adamstrange Is this correct for round 2? Popular Teen-Agers #15 - 17.95% Confessions of Love #14 - 16.24% True-to-Life Romances #10 - 9.4% Flaming Western Romances #3 - 8.55% Top Love Stories #10 - 7.69% Does that round out poll #2?
  8. @adamstrange So do we have our top 5? Looks like: Popular Teen-Agers #5 - 12.96% Top Love #8 - 9.26% True-to-Life Romances #19 - 9.26% True-to-Life Romances #15 - 9.26% Confessions of Romance #8 - 8.33% Is this correct? In any case, if we disagree that these covers should have won I think we can agree that @PopKulture wins for sharing Anita with us...
  9. https://www.comicconnect.com/item/373297 Found it!
  10. Have you checked comic connect? There are a ton up there.
  11. Large pics for the masses? If I've learned 1 thing from this already, it's that I need to upgrade copies of some of my favorites! It's also helping me pick out the next set to sent in to be graded.
  12. This book is nearly 86 years old and graded higher than my 1st app of Spider-Gwen.
  13. Yea, if she looked like that I don't think it's her face that launched 1,000 ships...
  14. Ok, so I was trying to pin down when the end of the Bronze age would be as far as Spidey goes but I think these 2 still fit. If not just yell at me. Here's the first one, ASM #209 1st Calypso: And another a year later (man, Marvel loved those top banners back then huh?), 1st Speed Demon:
  15. #3 should be there, but it wouldn't win anyhow. Thanks a TON for doing this!!!
  16. A few variants. Grabbed the #1 with Hobgoblin on it!
  17. This cover is cool. It reminds me somewhere between a Ziff Davis cover and a foreign 50's movie poster. I know that's random, but between what I collect it's how my mind works.
