  1. Oh you mean did the tweet where the French critic says Rocket and Nebula “excel in a dignified send-off” possibly spoil that Rocket and Nebula are excellent as they each get dignified deaths? No, I think he means Ricket and Nebula are both excellent in a movie that is a dignified send-off to the current Guardians. I think the guy would be dead and the tweet removed if he spoiled which, if any, Guardians buy it.
  2. Long hair hides a lot of things. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a tramp stamp on the back of his neck.
  3. Isn’t that kinda what y’all said with Captain Marvel before she made $1.13 billion dollars, $300 million more than GOTGV2? Yes yes, I know I know Captain Marvel benefited from two Avengers movies or whatever the phrase is, but I also think you’re underestimating the woman factor that could make a difference for the sequel. Captain Marvel makes news. Captain Marvel starts fights, wars even. Captain Marvel breaks the internet. Guardians don’t. We shall see. I am, though, looking forward to finding out how that cactus works out for Capra.
  4. I’ll go ahead and say it. I think one reason Adam Driver keeps his hair long is because he has a very long face. Long hair balances out a long face. So if he is the next Mr.Fantastic, will he keep the long hair or get the comic book accurate haircut, thus making said long face more pronounced? Or is said long face part of a reason why Marvel is interested in casting Driver as a character whose physical super power is making himself long?
  5. I believe Capra said he would sit on a cactus if The Marvelettes makes more than $550 million.
  6. What actually felt like a military-like chore was going to see Shazam 2 Fury of the Godesses. It reminded me of my days back in the ‘Nam when the only worry you had was dyin’.
  7. “Kill one stupid guy who no one loves!” LOL I know this movie will at least make $15. (to clarify, off of me for the local market price of a 3D IMAX ticket)
  8. I sincerely don’t understand what else is goofy about Kamala Khan besides her comic book embiggen powers. Other than that she’s a Pakistani-American teenage girl who lives in New Jersey and is a Captain Marvel superfan.
  9. Okay, well regardless of the chronology of my post before or after. your post or whether or not I read your post, I'm telling you I made MY post with only the Majors girlfriend altercation in mind. Even then, the multiple women coming out is still hearsay at this point, reliable hearsay, but still hearsay. Disney can still sit this out until the last minute. The process is still playing itself out and doesn't yet equate to Anthony Rapp accusing Kevin Spacey of sexual assault when Rapp was a minor.
  10. Not exactly. My point pertained specifically to Jonathan Majors allegations about the girlfriend altercation, and nothing else. My point was also made before the Variety report of other women coming forward. As I said before, public opinion about the single incident with Majors and his girlfriend could be enough for a talent agency to drop him because it could directly affect their business, such as their image to prospective clients. For Disney, they’re not a talent agency and don’t deal with prospective talent like that day in and day out. The Majors case had been small enough that Disney could afford to sit it out to see what happens. Marvel is big enough that Adam Driver probably isn’t going to not sign up as Reed Richards because Majors might be in a future Marvel movie. Tourists aren’t going to cancel their Disney World trips because of the Majors girlfriend incident. Now, things may change in light of several women cooperating with the New York DA about past abuse by Majors. That’s much bigger than a past filmmaker associate describing Majors as a horrible human being on Twitter. Even if Majors has the support of said girlfriend, multiple women coming out of the woodwork in such a high profile story could be what buries this variant of Kang.
  11. Casting someone of Adam Driver's ilk I think helps solve one of the difficulties I see in making a live action version of the FF, Mr. Fantastic in particular: how do you make him NOT come off as goofy or silly on screen? Casting a serious and highly respected actor like Mr Driver helps immensely, because right out the gate, Mr. Fantastic can be taken seriously because he's Adam Driver. Of course, the character would have to continue to earn that respect throughout the future movie with a well written part and a good story (see: Rise of Skywalker).
  12. Still, I'll believe it when I see it in Variety. Personally I think he's too tall for the role.
  13. From Daniel Richtman, who's been about as reliable as anyone else when it comes to MCU rumors...
  14. I would say taking time to explore the dynamic of Kamala's relationship with her family in Ms. Marvel was meaningful. I would say exploring the idea that Wanda's life is so tragic that she transforms her life into family sitcoms for six or seven episodes in WandaVision is meaningful. I would say watching Sam Wilson grapple with the idea that he's not good enough to be Captain America, while trying to be both a hero for the world and his family back in Louisiana in FWS is meaningful. Seeing Clint Barton finally get to be in the spotlight in Hawkeye maybe wasn't overly meaningful but it was entertaining (to me).
  15. I would think James Gunn is a smarter filmmaker than to make a Superman film that looks talks and acts like Guardians of the Galaxy, or worse, Suicide Squad. Didn't he write and produce Brightburn (essentially a multiverse Superman movie which I never saw)? I don't believe that was a comedy.
  16. Prior to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Rocket Raccoon was the only OG character I cared about, as I wasn't that familiar with the Annihilation and Annihilation Conquest comics which are the primary source for the movies. So kinda glad this one is apparently focused on Rocket. Besides the Warlock character.
  17. I actually prefer some of the Phase Four stories over previous Phases, particularly the Disney+ shows. As intended, the shows are better able to explore the small stuff and the inner worlds of these characters, which for me, makes for better storytelling. Besides the lack of a lead-up to a finale Avengers movie, it seems to me that one big difference between the Phase Four films and previous movies is I see the Phase Four films as being much more complex stories, whereas the films of previous Phases were kind of dumbed down a little, particularly when it comes to the villain. Previous villains were pretty melodramatic in their nature, they were truly bad, which in turn made the heroism of our heroes stand out that much more. In Phase Four, the villains have been much more complex individuals, often-times anti-heroes. In Shang Chi, the villains is Shang's father. In Eternals, the villain is Ikarus, a fellow Eternal. In No Way Home, the villain is a tortured Norman Osborn who Peter saves in the end. In Multiverse of Madness, the villain is Wanda. In Wakanda Forever, the villain is Prince Namor, who is just trying to do right by his people. In these stories, there is no clear delineation of good vs evil. Maybe that makes for a less comic booky story? IMO, Multiverse of Madness is a much more clever smarter film than Doctor Strange. I always thought for such an apparently intelligent character, the Doctor Strange movie's story seemed a little simple. The plot elements in Multiverse of Madness were much more complex. Maybe some audiences just prefer the simple good vs evil comic booky story.
  18. Doesn't Jonathan Majors' attorney know that opening an umbrella indoors is bad luck? It's a tradition that goes back to ancient Egypt. Rama Tut should at least know that.
  19. My prediction 1. yes 2. yes 3. yes 4. That ship will have already been "righted" (if it needs righting) by GOTGV3, Secret Invasion, and Loki 2. 5. of course 6. no 7. yes 8. you get out of it what you put into it 9. help 10. crack is whack
