  1. I think they must have held more than usual back today to sell at shows. I'm skeptical that these spideys are in much more demand than his other recent web shop sales
  2. I prefer signed because they come with a nice looking nifty COA. But if it's a busy cover I get unsigned because I don't like a sig covering up art, or the logo. But a simple cover with a good spot for a sig I will buy the signed version. I'm not a grading whore, so that doesn't factor in for me
  3. MJ, BC, and Gwen.....shocker! He never fails to surprise, and keep things fresh
  4. Is she in mid-step, or is her foot supposed to be resting on that outcropping of rock?
  5. Who is paying into the thousands for these?? I'm blown away anyone would pay anywhere near that much for a modern variant cover
  6. HULK with Wolverine claws?? Are you kidding me!
  7. Is it just me, or are the hands on the Dark Phoenix cover waaayyyy too small?
  8. Bought the set of 8 but may sell my least favorites - the dark phoenix and the blue one. Anyone know where the blue costume is from?
  9. Dynamite is as well. have you seen the latest iteration of her costume?
  10. The golds were a wildcats 1 retailer incentive. Get 1 gold cover per xxx number of books ordered. The signed version was 1 per xxx books ordered also but a higher order amount was required to get that one. Don't remember the allocation amount on either
  11. I just sold an 8.5 181 green label missing page 10 for just under 1K. It was signed by Len Wein who just passed away though which may have helped
  12. I think it looks fine. And I'm hyper picky when it comes to something funky going on with anatomy
  13. Still good that you bought it. If you don't like it, you can sell it for enough to cover the cost of the entire order
  14. That goes without saying. They had several days of warnings, so I'm sure they are all safe
  15. I wanted the brunette cover also until I noticed her weird tiny ankle. For some reason it doesn't look as bad on the other covers where she's wearing black. Looks like on those covers they are colored to look as if her butt is in the foreground covering a portion of the ankle. But on the white costume cover it's colored to look like the ankle is in the foreground in front of the butt and thus we have a too tiny ankle. Weird. Makes me glad I didn't buy the full set just to get it
  16. All our books will come back at 1.0 marked with "Water Damage"
  17. If you do a google maps search on their address you can see the bldg. Appears to be a one story office space in a strip mall type row of office spaces. Was hoping they had several stories but that doesn't appear to be the case. Concerned because I just sent in some high dollar books which have been in my collection for many years. Most valuable books in my collection. I really hope they have an actual "vault" and that it's extremely water and moisture proof
  18. The X-Men is minty, so maybe 9.4 or 9.6. The Hulks all have superficial spine wrinkles that a pressing should eliminate. 181 has one spine crinkle that breaks color, but that should be it's only defect after pressing
  19. OK, so I submitted them all today. Went with CGC for the Hulks since I wanted them pressed prior to grading. The GS X-men 1 I didn't need pressed so I sent that to C$B$C$S for slabbing since they offer signature authorization. Thought having that authorization would be a good selling point. The Hulks - I thought the slightly higher grade due having them pressed would be more important to buyers than having the sigs labeled "officially authorized". Right move?
