I've become aware of a very large collection of GA books (no restoration noted), where the owner has confirmed a liquid cleaning process was used to remove dirt, oils, stains, shadows, etc..
The question is, should those books be disclosed as cleaned? Should solvent cleaning be considered restoration, given that it is usually undetectable? Should those books have a restoration label? The situation "feels" shady given the official definition of restoration, and I'd like the forum's input if possible.
