  1. seems 9.6 to me a 9.8 modern book can have 1-2 "tiny" imperfections this copy has at least these 3 imperfections
  2. need more info regarding the specific book and how you determined your estimate
  3. you may want to add a return policy or your thread will be closed glws
  4. Conserved copies are very much a viable option to universal copies. I would have no issues with owning conserved or restored books in my collection.
  5. no arguments here ...Schomburg is second on my list by a hair
  6. if versatility and sequential work weighs heavily into the equation, then that bolsters Bakers' case...romance, war, crime, sci-fi superhero and horror...golden age/atomic age...
  7. My criteria would be heavily weighted in an artist that was the best at what he did at the time he did it... Barks...would definitely be towards the top of the list. Frazetta...not enough comic book work Eisner...innovative but bland Cole...not the best in any genre...good overall Crandall...very good...does not separate himself from his peers...Craig, Feldstein, Davis, etc Kurtzman...amazing but not even the best artist iamong his peer...that goes to Wood imho Wood...makes for a strong argument with his body of work Wolverton...too stylized for the general masses Kirby...too attached to Simon...better with age Schomburg...my #2 Fine...on mount rushmore Everett...I believe he was the master of all trades
  8. I'm surprised I have not been banned here on the CGC Forum..TAT's must be longer than I thought
