  1. Hello Fellow Graders: Finally got this back; I did it as cheaply as possible so the pressing alone took 56 days! Quite happy with the result. Thanks for everyone's help. D
  2. Thank you all for your comments.
  3. The staples look slightly rusty. The bottom corner doesn't look too bad... What do you think?
  4. Hello, I was thinking about having this issue graded. It has some indents on the back which I would hope would press out. Could this be a 7.5? Thanks again CGC members!
  5. Thanks for the input everyone.
  6. Hello! What do you think about this copy? I was thinking of pressing just in case... Thank you in advance.
  7. Thanks everyone. I will send this to be graded and will post the results...whenever it makes it back. 2019?
  8. What grade does this look like? Would it make sense to press? Thank you in advance!
  9. Hello, I have a collection of ASM that I bought new, read once and put into a bag. I didn't tape the flaps, but tucked them in back so now there's a "V" indent on most of the backs. If I press and grade it would be $32 per book. Doesn't seem worth it if I can't get a really high grade. Any help much appreciated! I was curious if I could achieve the holy grail of 9.8 if I had these pressed. I have issues 155-200 that are in relatively the same condition as the one I have uploaded.
  10. Artboy, thanks for your reply. I'm not sure if I want to sell or keep at this point. I suppose I'm curious to know if I had any comic that might be 9.6 or 9.8 which could make the latter part of my collection worth more than the lesser condition earlier issues. I'll try the "Hey buddy" option you suggested. Thanks again.
  11. I have a fairly complete collection of Modern ASM that I bought new when I was a wee lad (circa 1973-76). I put them in plastic, but tucked the flaps rather than tape them, and now have a nice "V" shaped indent on every single issue. I may have read them once before putting them in the bag, so aside from the indent these look pretty good to me, and I'm wondering if they might be graded in the high 9's. If I take the path of a pressing pre-screen I'm charged a minimum of $10 to determine if the pressing will help the grade. If I just press these Modern issues at the least expensive rate I'm charged $12 per issue. Now comes the grading.. Do I pre-screen for the grading or just roll the dice? If they don't achieve a 9.4 or 9.8 it doesn't seem worth it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
