  1. One more Joe for tonight. GI Joe Kung Fu Grip Land Adventurer with the Capture of the Pygmy Gorilla set, with functional outboard motor.
  2. Another Joe from my collection. 1967 Soldiers of the World French Resistance Fighter.
  3. My Major Matt Mason and Friends display. The figures are all mint from sealed packages. I did not crack the vintage packages, but a late friend of mine did so, and created the display. I purchased it from his widow as I wanted to be the caretaker of this excellent item. You will not find nicer examples as they are truly perfect.
  4. I used to collect pre-code horror as some of you old timers might know, if you remember me. Now I collect toys and vintage 12” GI Joes. This was the first Joe I picked up when I started collecting.
  5. I no longer collect comics and have sold almost everything I owned. I used to live on these boards, and one of the first people I met off the boards was Thomas. We made plans to meet up at Wizard World Texas. I think the year was 2008. I took some high grade FF’s with me as I knew he would probably want to buy them, and he did. I went around with him as he tried to find a nice early FF, that he could afford. If memory serves, I think he wanted the first Impossible Man. I cannot remember if he got it, but I remember him looking at a copy that Richard Evans had. Thomas had an innocent enthusiasm about the books that interested him in his early days on the boards. I saw him at all of the Texas shows for the next few years after that, and had the occasional meal. Over those years, I sold him quite a few more books. We always got along well and would chat several times a week. When I left the hobby, I pretty much did it cold turkey. That meant not coming onto the boards anymore. With that decision, I lost contact with a lot of good people. One of those people was Thomas. When I saw the post on CGC’s Facebook page today, it made me really sad. Even though we had not spoken in years, I feel that if we did, we would have picked right back up where we left off. Thomas was a good man. He was a good guy for the hobby. We are all a little poorer today because of his passing. I hope for peace for his wife and children. I also hope they know that people really respected their husband and dad. Rest in Peace, Thomas. Scott
  6. I do not have any paperwork as them being so. I bought them well over 10 years ago from a seller on ebay who had huge runs of Dell titles that were all in the same condition range. He was selling them all at a time when the Random House File copies came to market, so there was no reason to not believe him. The books were all similar in appearance and page quality. There were several books that I sent to CGC for grading, mostly Dell Rocky and Bullwinkle books, that were files, and they all came back as highest graded. I did not have anything signifying them as File Copies, but CGG noted them as such on the label when they were graded. I put File Copy on my order form, and they were able to determine them to be. With Dells, it is actually kind of easy to tell a File from a non-file, and the graders at CGC know what they are doing when it comes to Pedigree and File books. I think you would be completely ok.... but that comes from my past experience submitting File books. Hope that helps. Scott
  7. Send me a message with a reasonable offer and we can talk. Thanks.
  8. Ok, let’s make this official. All 8 books for 275 shipped to the lower 48. I paid 180 for them all over 10 years ago. Thanks for looking. Scott
  9. #13 in 9.2-9.4. Very sharp black cover with off white to white pages. Super glossy.
  10. #21 in 9.2 with off white to white pages. Insane gloss on this hard black cover.
  11. Hey everyone. Not sure if anyone has an interest in them, so wanted to ask before I post. I have 8 issues, all high grade from the Random House Files. I love the books, but need to move them along. I wanted to gauge possible interest before I post a lot of photos and have them fall on deaf ears. Let me know and if so, I will post photos and price as I would like to sell all 8 as a group. Thanks for reading my babble. Scott
  12. Thank you Sean. Good to hear from you again. Marked as Sold.
  13. Hey everyone. Offering up one of my last truly nice books. I have had this one for a long time, and it is my favorite Wrightson cover, ever. It has been on display on one of the walls in my man cave, but not subjected to much by way of light. I thought about having it pressed many years ago, but Matt Nelson said it did not need to be... and he called it a 9.6, which I do as well. Snow white pages, tough black cover, with an amazing spine. There is a touch of distribution spray at the top of the cover, but this technically not considered a defect as it was part of the process of getting a book to the market. Oh.... and what I feel is Wrightson’s scariest cover. I have sold a lot of books, but I always held onto this one. Need the funds or I would not be passing it on. Please see the photos below. Asking 225 shipped to the lower 48 for this awesome book. Ask if you need references. Thanks, Scott
  14. Hello everyone. I have decided to part with another of my special books. It is Crime SuspenStories 24, with a classic George Evans hatchet cover. It is also signed on the splash page by Mr. Evans himself. I had the good fortune to meet George and hang out with him a while. He was possibly the nicest creator I have ever had the chance to meet. This copy is not perfect, and I will post a lot of photos so that you can see all of the imperfections. If I was putting a grade on this book, I would put it in the 4.0-4.5 range due to the small chips out of the spine, and the small piece of tape that is on the front cover. Not sure where that came from, but it is there. The cover does have an insane amount of gloss still evident though. The book in hand looks much, much better than the grade would dictate. If you are looking for a great book signed by one of the best artists that EC and Fawcett had to offer, then this is your chance. George has been gone from us for a while now, so the books out there that he signed are all we have. I have sold thousands of books on the boards in the past, so if you have any questions about me as a seller, or past buyer, ask me for references. I am asking 200 shipped for the book. Paypal is preferred, but I will take a check if I know you. Thanks for looking! Send me a message if you have any questions. The photos are loading out of the sequence I took them. Sorry about that. Scott
