  1. And trust them on yet another transaction? No thanks, that's just asking for the stuff to somehow get "lost" or "stolen". I'll visit friends and hit up some shops to make it worth the trip.
  2. My 8 books are backs well, got the call. Just have to make my way over from Ottawa and pick them up. What a relief.
  3. Anyone else want to post a negative FB review for Paradise? Just added mine. Let's get the word out!
  4. Back off, ComicArtAddict is the only one to take this public so far. He did his part. There's over 100 others out there with late books that could step up now.
  5. I'm also waiting on a response from Peter & CGC. I'll be calling CGC tomorrow as well. Better business bureau has Paradise Comics rated as an A+...that's going to be changing soon. The thought that new & uninformed customers are probably still submitting through them as we speak makes me sick. Anyways, thanks for the updates and ideas @ComicArtAddict! Let's get our books back
  6. Brandon191, would you consider adding the name "Paradise Comics" to the original title of this post? I think it would bring in even more people, as it would come up in searches on the subject. Thanks again for starting this up!
  7. I messaged Kristina 10 days ago regarding my CGC books being gone for over 10 months, invoices included - no reply. In fact there have been zero replies to any messages I've sent Paradise in the past year, including one to you. Any time I saw Paradise staff in person at a show or called the store, they told me "check with us next month" or "there's a shipment coming in next week" I hope to hear something about my submissions soon. Jason
  8. I think you nailed it with this, it would explain all the delays.
  9. One mass email from Paradise Comics to their customers honestly explaining the situation - and this thread wouldn't even exist. I guess they thought nobody would question them, pretty arrogant of the owner (Peter).
  10. Thanks Howard, that's great. I have a theory: could it be that Paradise is several months late paying CGC money owed for these large orders of books - resulting in CGC waiting for payment before processing? Or do stores have to pay upfront like the rest of us? I guess I'm asking if we helped pay for the renovations
  11. Hi everyone, first time poster here! You can add me to the long list of people waiting for their CGC submissions from Paradise Comics for almost a full year now. I paid up front not knowing what a mess this was going to be . No updates from them, no apologies for the ridiculous delays, they just blame it on CGC. I'm confident we'll all be getting our books back, but the owner & employees need to start being up front about the delays instead of continuing to claim a 3 month turnaround. Really starting to look really shady on their end
