  1. Want to start an Archie collection? Looking to complete a series run? A few comic lots from my personal collection - golden age, silver age, bronze age, and modern readers - are now on eBay under Seller ID: kandie1987. https://www.ebay.com/usr/kandie1987 More items will be listed on eBay periodically, so, if you want to be the first to know, be sure to save me as a favorite seller! Thanks! ❤️
  2. Late to the party...but great pick up! Which pages/stories still need to be identified? I started collecting Archie comics and related merchandise over 25 years ago, but only recently started collecting original art. My focus so far has been 1950s Bob Montana's comic strip art, 1960s-1970s Filmation animation cels, merchandise/promotional art, and modern Christmas covers and interior pages.
  3. I haven’t seen this particular issue, but I have seen a few occasionally pop up for sale at auction. Multiple issues of the title were published between 1948-50. CGC denotes the title as Archie Your Official Store Club Magazine, while Overstreet has it listed under Archie Shoe-Store Giveaway.
  4. I won both Welch’s jelly jar glass illustrations (I didn’t snag the ad though). I’m surprised a few pieces didn’t go for more than they did. But then others went for far more, definitely shocking.
  5. Christmas with Archie Recently moved a few things around in my comic/toy room to celebrate the holidays. I may have to leave it up all year long though! For more of my comic/toy room check out my previous post:
  6. All my comics, excluding the first appearance of Cheryl Blossom, are raw. I keep getting outbid on Comic Connect, HA, etc. for graded Golden Age comics. I haven't submitted any to be graded, due to the long wait times.
  7. Wow! Definitely have to keep an eye for these for my collection.
  8. I've only ever collected Archie titles (over 20 years), and right now I'm focused on completing the following runs: Archie's T.V. Laugh Out, Everything's Archie, Life With Archie, Katy Keene, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and She's Josie / Josie and the Pussycats.
  9. Very cool! I've never seen this before! I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for one now for my collection.
  10. I think the only way I'll ever be able to afford an Archie #1 is if it is brittle
  11. I wish! My oldest Archie is featured at the top of the rack - Archie #18 (1945). I usually only buy comics locally, so I'm looking forward to going to comic shows and conventions again soon!
  12. I'd love to see other Archie shrines....mine is quite extensive to say the least @Patriot6
  13. Some of you may recall that I started my comic/toy room - focused entirely on my extensive Archie collection - a year or so ago...well I finally got around to buying more cabinets, framing posters and original art, and then organizing it! The cabinets are Ikea Billy Bookcases with Glass Doors (3) and a Kolbjorn Shelf Unit (1). Most of my artwork by Dan Parent is leaning against the wall on Amazon's Weiai Clear Acrylic Shelves, as I wanted flexibility to rotate/display future art purchases. The spinner rack is non-branded, but holds an impressive amount of comics (I hope to buy a comic rack featuring Archie someday). The bench cushion and curtains feature vintage-inspired Archie fabric, and, as I work with archival material regularly, the curtains (which include black-out panels) and blinds are normally closed to prevent light damage.
  14. It's hard to believe Archie is 80 years old! Archie 80th Anniversary Jumbo Digest Comics Digest #1 Cover Art by Dan Parent
  15. It's Christmas again at my house (see previous page for other Archie-themed Christmas art), as the original cover art of Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #289 by Dan Parent finally arrived!
  16. PUBLISHED / Archie Holiday Print (Limited Edition) / Dan Parent
  17. PUBLISHED / Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #289 / Dan Parent It's still in the mail... hope it arrives soon!
  18. It's been a while since anyone posted on this thread, but, if interested, I shared a few of my recent additions in the active original art thread:
  19. @BGPhilbilnI have a non-branded, no-signage spinner rack. I would love to add one that features Archie to my collection, but I haven't come across one in my area.
